The Courtyard is now a 3 star instead of 2.5. Also, that is a slightly high bid for the star level and area - I've had success in the past in the mid thirties to low forties. Needed the room in a hurry! :)

Hampton Inn Southfield $50 9/2/11-9/3/11 Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool Business Center High-Speed Internet Golf Nearby Pretty happy with it until I actually got there. We gave up after our second room and just went to sleep. The first one smelled like smoke and the second one had super-slow drains, weak air conditioning, and burned-out lights in the bathroom. Hotwire did credit us for the stay so all was not lost.... Gotta say the front desk staff was friendly and handled things well.

Ouch. Sure wish I would have known Super 8 was in the running. I've been trying for a week to get something under $100, so I think I'll just be very glad I paid $75 and not $100 for it!

Courtyard Pittsburgh Airport 450 Cherrington Parkway Coraopolis, PA 15108 I'm not local, but I think this one has been there for quite some time. Pretty sure I stayed there about five years ago....

Started bidding last week at $32, raising it $1 each time. Finally hit tonight at $42 on the Courtyard. I was very pleased NOT to get the Four Points which comes up very frequently in this price range - it always feels kind of run down and dirty. Totally happy with this win! Used the PRICELINE link

Originally bid $30 and was rejected, added Bloomfield Hills and raised it to $32 and was accepted right away. I would have preferred the Hyatt Place, but who can honestly complain at prices like these? Can't fill my car for that...... :) Used the PRICELINE link!

12/3 for one night $44 Started bidding during the last week of October at $31 and went up a dollar a day just to see how long it took - I'm pretty easily amused. Rooms on their website for that night are $72 so I can't complain. Reviews are pretty good. Used the PRICELINE link....

Just got the Four Points by Sheraton for $49/night 11/20-11/22 2 rooms, 2 nights Shuttle Fitness Center Pool High-speed Internet This hotel had a 90% recommendation rate. Used the Better Bidding link. :)

Booked for 7/15-7/16 $66 breakfast, business center, fitness center, laundry, pool, high-speed internet 85% recommended on Hotwire, 50% on TripAdvisor Slightly disappointed by reviews, also that I could have gotten a better rate on my own using AAA. Hoping for the best...... Used the HOTWIRE link

Jameson Inn Louisville East 7/12-7/15 for $40 per night. Breakfast, fitness center, pool, laundry 90% recommended On a side note, just ran the same search and the areas seem to have changed. The Louisville East-Jeffersontown area is gone, but now there is a Jeffersontown East and a Jeffersontown West. What looks to be the Jameson is now in Jeffersontown East and says 'still gathering reviews'. Booked earlier this afternoon so this change just happened. Used the HOTWIRE link....

I recently found a 3.5* downtown St. Louis hotel with the following amenities: fitness center pool restaurant 6/28-7/2 for $58/night It doesn't match anything I've seen lately. Any ideas?
