  1. The Golden Nugget has apparently been downgraded to a 3* on Priceline. I decided to start lowball bidding again to see what happens. 1st bid $50 (Fremont) Rejected free rebid $60 (Henderson- Lake Las Vegas) Rejected
  2. I read your report and had to respond. I'll be going to See Waters in Indianapolis and booked my hotel through Priceline as well. I saw him in 2000 and in 1986 and he is always incredible! Have fun.
  3. Ok, just to confuse things even more: I just bid for 4/27-4/28/07 :) 2 1/2* Harrisburg $35 Your Offer Price: $35.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $35.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $10.62 Total Charges*: $45.62 Same price as the other date. Used Savings Barn
  4. Sorry about that. The hotel is the Wyndham Garden Inn Hotel located on Eisenhower Blvd. The date for this stay is 5/5/07-5/6/07. I'll be rebidding tomorrow for the 4/27/07-4/28/07. I'm going to St. Croix, USVI on a $211 First Class ticket and need a hotel in Harrisburg before and after the trip since I am flying out of MDT. I like to plan ahead I guess. :)
  5. 2 1/2* Harrisburg won $35 for 5/5-5/6/07 Your Offer Price: $35.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $35.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $10.62 Total Charges*: $45.62 Other bids: 3* $36 Rejected 2* $30 Rejected 1* $23 Rejected Used Savings barn (Please change the * level and dates of stay in the heading)
  6. I'm not sure they "stepped up to the plate" all the way. La Quinta is honoring only the first reservation made and cancelling all others. I had 4 reservations of which one was an add-a-night. I now have only 1 night at the La Quinta as the rest are cancelled. La Quinta (Hilton) is claiming an error and refusing to honor this, Priceline is stuck in the middle according to a service rep there.
  7. Ok, I'm bidding multiple * levels in the Harrisburg zone so I'll list them all below as best I can: 3* (Using Harrisburg-Hershey as free re-bid zone) $32 Rejected 2 1/2* $30 Counter offer to add $8- Refused Re-bid (Harrisburg-Hershey) $32 Rejected 2* $29 Rejected 1* $22 Rejected This may throw everything off a bit but I am bidding for the above dates and then trying for 5/5-5/6/07 as well. I am increasing the bids by $1 each bid even when I change the dates. ie: 3* 4/27 bid $29 then $30; then I change the date to 5/5 and bid $31 then $32. Using Savings Barn
  8. More 2 1/2* bidding: $41 1st bid (North-Fishers)- Accepted :) Amerisuites of Indianapolis (At Keystone Crossing) Your Offer Price: $41.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $41.00 Taxes & Service Fees:$13.49 Total Charges*: $54.49 Used Savings barn. I am curious to know if Priceline hotels can specify different prices for different lengths of stay. I won this same hotel for the same day (2 night stay- see prior post) for $35 each night. Now that I was bidding for one night only it cost me $41. Could it be that there were no lower priced rooms available or is it that multiple night can get a better rate? I'm definitely not complaining about the cost for either one, I am just curious.
  9. And again- St. John Resort bids: $125 1st bid- Rejected $130 2nd bid (St. Thomas)- Rejected
  10. 2 1/2* continued bidding: $39 1st bid (North-Fishers)- Countered with an offer to raise my price by $11- Refused $40 2nd bid (Speedway)- Rejected
  11. Additional St. John Resort bids: $115 1st bid- Rejected $120 2nd bid (St. Thomas)- Rejected
  12. 2 1/2* 1st bid $37 (North-Fishers) Countered with an offer to add $10 to my bid- Refused 2nd bid $38 (Speedway)- Rejected I've been bidding up from $34 using the same method above (All rejected). I have a room for 2 nights that same weekend that I won for $34 per night. It seems that they want more money if you are only staying one night. I'll keep trying.
  13. I'll be flying into St. Croix (Already trying to bid there) and thought I'd hop over to St. John's if I could book a Resort. I'll be in the US Virgin Islands 4/28/07-5/4/07 and which island I will be on will be determined by any Priceline wins. Resort 1st bid $100 St. John's- Rejected 2nd bid $110 St. Thomas (No resort)- Rejected
  14. Bid $13 for a Mid-Size car at MCO Your Offer Price: $13.00 Total Rental Days: 2 Subtotal: $26.00 Taxes & Fees: $14.53 Total Charges: $40.53 Used SavingsBarn
  15. Only 1 area for St. Croix so no free rebids available Bid $40 for a 2* Rejected Based on all the hotel listings and Pricelines visible hotel offer I believe the 2* available is the Best Western which is going for $75 per night through other channels. This is just a guess and if I end up winning I'll find out for sure :).
  16. Thanks Theruare. This is actually the location at 9104 Keystone Crossing.

  20. I have a question on the "add a night" feature. if I book 2 rooms for one night can I "add-a-night" on only one of the rooms?
  21. Bid for a 3* for $25 and was upgraded to a resort 2 nights total $62.91 better than the prior win for $40 a night! :)
  22. Thanks for the hotel clarification and the header correction. As always, keep up the great work Thereuare! :)
