Won today:

Holiday Inn Express Cedar City, at Hotwire.

$ 59.- (71,20 incl. tax and fees).

Hotel shows 3 stars.

This 3*hotel we had got through hotwire for a good rate (if you book directly you will pay up to 2 times more). We did not expect too much and were very surprised about this excellent place.

Check in was quick and very friendly. We even could choose from king and QQ rooms. So we choose QQ and our friends a K. Both rooms were very spacious and we had a connecting door but hardly could hear noise from each other which is a plus. We were on 3 rd floor in a designated quiet zone (no kids, school groups get a room in this zone). The doors shut quietly too which is not happening often in indoor corridors.

Many of the rooms are located around an indoor pool

We made a bit on HOTWIRE for a 2.5* in Woodland Hills/Canoga Park area.

We got the Ramada Canoga Park, motel-style.

Stayed April 17-18th. Rate was 62.- (plus tax, service fee).

It was not worth the money and I made a complaint at Hotwire - but I can see - they still offer it. We had 2 different rooms on 2nd floor and both had the problem, that a very loud crackeling in the ceiling could be heard all night and kept the 4 of us from sleeping. Don't bet on that motel!

We have got Crown Plaza Peoria Avenue when bidding on 3* Metro-Center. Got it for 49.- for April 12th. Was very happy with this hotel and the rate... One of the most comfortable 3* hotels we stayed in on our 3 weeks journey. Perfect!
