Just saw your earlier question: The Pricline travel guide for Victoria doesn't list any 3.5* hotels in downtown Victoria.

As far as I can tell, I have 1 initial bid and 3 "free rebids" available for a 4* in downtown Victoria: - 4* Victoria - 4* Victoria + Airport (exit and start a new bid) - 3.5* Victoria - 3.5* Victoria + Airport Yesterday, I started at $95 and increased each bid by $10 until the 4th bid got me to $125. Previously, I started lower and incremented by smaller amounts, so I never reached $125 before.

After bidding unsuccessfully in the $80-$115 range for the last 10 days, I broke down and bid $125. I got the "Counter Offer" for the first time (see below). WHAT DO I DO NOW? Try Again Right Now We searched hundreds of options to find your hotel room, however we can't accept your offer of $125 per room, per night. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number X. If you are willing to raise your price by $22, you can try the same request again right now. Normally you are required to change additional items (add zones, star level, or dates) in order to try your request again. Thanks so much. We will be visiting July 22-26. Do you have any similar tips for Victoria? We will be staying there July 20-22. I have been bidding $85-$105 on Priceline for a 4* hotel in downtown Victoria. So far, no luck. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Everyone, I have been bidding on Priceline for a 4* in downtown Victoria B.C. for about a week in the $90-$100 range. So far, no luck. Since there are no 3.5* hotels in this area, can I add the 3.5 level as a "free re-bid" for the 4* level?

One other question about this issue.. I will be traveling with my family of four (2 adults, 2 kids). For the last week, I have been trying to get a 4* hotel in Victoria BC Canada on Priceline for around $100. So far, no luck. In Hotwire, when I enter "1 room, 4 people," I get almost no results. When I enter "1 room, 2 people," I get many more results... I am willing to deal with the risk on insufficient beds on PRICELINE...are the HOTWIRE conditions the same? Thanks for your help.
