  6. Thank you for your help. I finally used Hotwire to book the hotels. It save me almost $250 just for the first night. I used your HOTWIRE links to book two transactions. 9/19 one night. 4* Hilton Rosemont $69 Airport Shuttle Business Center Fitness Center Indoor Pool pet friendly Pool Restaurant (s) Self-Service laundry Somke-free rooms. 9/20-9/22 Two nights 4* Hotel Chicago Downtown, Autography Collection $100 Boutique hotel Smoke free rooms fitness center restaurant business center internet access accessible for visually impaired accessible path of travel in-room accessibility accessible bathroom access parking roll-in shower
  7. Yes, it show: FULL AMENITIES: Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Wheelchair accessible. The $69 deal show up again, with 80% rating. But still, can't tell it is Hyatt Regency or Crowne Plaza, right? Actually, I am happy with either of them. Thanks for showing me the new feature. I never use it before, and it is cool.
  8. Hi, I know this is the priceline forum, but could you please help me to identify a hotel at O'Hare Airport South? After I did my math, we can save $240 by staying the first night at the airport. It's ok, we are old people and don't party at night. We will take the "L" to the hotel after dinner. Today, I saw a 4* hotel for $69 (9/19-9/20), with airport shuttle, fitness center, restaurant, business center and internet access, 80% recommended. There was a similar hotel for $78/night, but with 90% recommended. Oops!! Right before I submit this reply, the Hotwire wanted me to refresh the screen and the deal are gone. The new one is $72, with airport shuttle, fitness center, restaurant, business center, internet access. 90% recommended. Can you identify two hotel with same amenities but different Hotwire guess rating? Thanks.
  9. We are arriving around 3:30pm. And yes, you are right, it really don't make sense to stay at O'hare to wait three hours of our time on traffic. I will start bidding after confirm my time off. Thank you.
  10. I was lucky enough to stay at Hyatt Regency for $68/night multiple times, even in summer, and $90/night at Hilton, so my budget usually on the lower end. This time, I am willing to pay $400 for three night, $150 for the first night and $110 for the rest, plus taxes and fees? Do you think if I use "Name your own price" will save a few bucks compare to the Express Deal?? Thanks.
  11. Hi Aaron, My husband and I will take the train to Chicago later this month. I didn't know about the triathlon at Grant Park until I booked the train tickets. Since we will not have a car, and the price of the hotel stay is like triple on 9/19; I am wondering what the alternative is? Can you suggest areas that can be reach by public transportation? I know it will be a headache to move from one hotel to the other, but if I can save $100-$150, I probably will do. I am thinking to use Hotwire to book the first night hotel at O'Hare that provide free airport shuttle, then use Priceline to bid another two nights at the Loop or NMA? What do you think? What is the different between O'Hare South and O'Hare North? Which zone should I use? Thank you.

  13. Amenities: Free Parking Free Internet Free Breakfast Indoor Pool(s) Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Self Service Laundry 90% recommended Rate per night: $55 Rooms: 4 Subtotal: $220 Tax & fees: $46.78 Trip protection: $10.67 Total: $277.45 ($69.36 per room) My initial search was 3 rooms for 6 adult and 4 kids, the price for each room was $70. Because I am traveling with two older kids (16/17) and afraid I will only receive one bed for our family of 4, I changed my search to 4 rooms for 8 adult and 2 kids, the price drop to $55 per room immediately. Compare $220 for 4 rooms to $210 for 3 rooms, I surely would take 4 rooms. For $55 with free internet and breakfast, it is a very good deal. I am using the HOTWIRE link on your website.
  14. After all the hassle, I am very happy with what I got too. Thank you for giving the direction from Union Station to the hotel, I know they will buy a CTA pass for the stay, so the detail direction is great. I also checked the chicagotaxifare, a taxi ride is only $11-14, not bad if they have a lot of luggage. When you said the location is a bit quiet at night, is it mean after 8pm? Anything I need to warn the kids before they go? Haha...one of them is a vegetarian, so she will be very happy to know a Whole Foods is near by. Thank you.
  15. I used Hotwire, not Priceline. I followed thereuare instruction to edit the post, but not success. Can you help me to move it to Hotwire forum? Thank you.

  18. Worst case scenario, I have to drive 9 hours to check them in :) and spend a weekend over there shopping. I have this though because I can't use Hotwire to book any 2* for the whole 7 days, so I have to try priceline.
  19. Do you have any bidding strategy for a 2* hotel at Downtown Chicago, Loop, or NMA? There probably no free bid zone at all. My top is $100.
  20. Hi, I just want to thank you all for helping me. Do you want me to start a new topic on Hotwire Forum to continue? I think I will use Hotwire to book the room, so I can make sure the room can fit 4 person and for under 21 of age. They want to stay near downtown, so I am looking to Loop and NMA. Since it is impossible to get a room in NMA for $100, so Loop is my only choice. I love Aaron's idea of bidding the first night to see what will come up, especially on the location. I am guessing the $83 2* at Chicago Loop & Theater area be Travelodge too. It is one of the 2* hotel in the Loop & Theater area, right? If not, what else will you guess? Is Hotwire only dealing with chain hotel? Also, I checked the Ohio House Motel website, the maximum capacity is 3 ppl per room, so it probably not the 2* at River North. Thanks again, I will check with the girls and keep searching.
  21. No problem, I will use the Hotwire and PRICELINE links everytime to start a research. My daughter said they don't mind staying in a motel or 1 or 2* hotel. They only need a place to sleep in Chicago downtown area for around $100. This morning, I used HOTWIRE to look up hotel in downtown area, but no luck. Should I use PRICELINE then?
  22. Aaron, You are awesome!! I told the girls to read through your suggestions and tell me what they wants to do. I still want to bid a hotel room for them for the first few days in downtown, if possible. Then they can do the downtown attractions then move to city/college town for fun. I will let you know after I hear back from them. Thanks again.
