  1. First bid was for 3 1/2 stars at $50, second (successful) bid was for 3 stars at $52. Incredibly good deal. Windows were indeed soundproof (a necessity given proximity to major freeway interchange) and suite was generally clean and comfortable. The free breakfast buffet was also pleasantly varied and well-stocked. Since the buffet was worth $10/person - this room was basically $32/night! Not bad for a very nice and very well-located (on the free zone of streetcar line and next to Riverfront Walk) hotel.
  2. First bid of $80 accepted for 9/6. I think this is a good price considering Bumbershoot (big arts festival) is on that weekend and Westin is very close to the site.
  3. Grand Hyatt $67 June 5-6 through this site's PRICELINE link. Would not accept initial bid for June 5-7, so tried just the two nights and was successful. Priceline wouldn't accept $67 for their 'extend your stay' option. Any tips on how to get a good value for June 7 (a Sunday)?
