we got the hilton again for $116 from 12/21-12/26. we are not happy with that hotel. i tried to complain to priceline but without any resolution. after staying last year it is my opinion that this is in fact a 3.5* hotel and not a 4* hotel. any suggestions? maybe it is not possible to get the hyatt for that price anymore? anyway, thank you for your help.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. I'm hoping it's because it's so far away and that there will be more available at lower rates as it gets closer to December.

Thank you very much for your helpful response! I think I did report our wins in the past…but I can't recall. I'll do that, try again once per week for a while. As you say, it may just be a bit early. We stayed at the Hilton Financial District last year (we couldn't get Hyatt) and did not like it. I'll check back in with my progress and/or win info. Thanks again!

Hello, Could you advise how to go about getting a 4* hotel in Embarcadero/Financial District from 12/21-26 (5 nights) for around $110 per night? We've been able to get the Hyatt for this price from 2009-2012. Thank you! Steve

Actually, I went onto HOTWIRE last night (thru this site) and booked a 4* and got the Hilton Financial District for $110 through 12/30 and then $135 for the night of the 12/30. We would have preferred the Hyatt, where we've stayed in the past but we're okay with the Hilton. Are you familiar with this property? I will refer back to this thread in the future though and use your idea. We wouldn't have wanted to change hotels with a three year old too. Thank you again for all of your help!

When I look now it's $137. Do you have any suggestions for getting a 4*property in Embarcadero for $120 or less? Do you think waiting will help? Is it because of New Year's Eve? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you very much for your reply. I will post my wins from now on. I had forgotten the technique of putting USE and USW in as trying to get a 4* in the financial district. The Union Square hotels are usually a lot more expensive so this has worked in the past. Thank you for the reminder! I'll post if/when it works.

I've been trying to book a room at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero for 12/26-31. We've used the PRICELINE link through Betterbidding.com the past three years for a 4* hotel in Embarcadero for during the holidays and were always able to get it for about $90 per night. However, I've been trying for a couple of weeks and even bids of $109 haven't been accepted. Hotwire has a 4* in Embarcadero for $140. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Thank you!
