I just realized that I erred in regard to the level of this hotel -- it should be listed as 2 1/2* rather than 3* -- any way that I can fix this?

I first bid $37 for a 3* room in the Texas Tech area. This was not accepted, but Priceline came back saying that if I would offer $11 more it would work. And it did. Very pleased with the purchase -- La Quinta Inn & Suites Lubbock West Medical Center is right by the hospital where a family member is having surgery on Tuesday. I've seen good reviews on this recently renovated hotel.

Thanks. Was wondering if it might be the Hotel Valencia, but Gunter is a nice place -- plus the Gunter is just across the street from the Majestic Theatre, where we have tickets to see Greater Tuna Christmas on the evening of Dec 25th.

I am looking at what I'm guessing is the same 4* B hotel offering for Dec 23-26 that is listed at $79 per night -- do you recall if the Hotel Valencia had a 75% recommendation rate?

"peeked" @ 3* in Abilene and was accepted for a Sunday night on Jan 9 '11 @ $43 was at Marriott Courtyard they would not accept bid for additional nights for rest of week at same price

I booked a room for June 14 listed as 3 star at Dallas Love Field-Market Center for $42. Only icon showing was the swimming pool. It turned out to be the Embassy Suites Hotel at Love Field, which includes a nice breakfast. Great deal IMO. Total price with tax was $55.20 and I was able to pay it with Hotbucks that Hotwire gave me when they acknowledged that 3* rooms that I previously purchased for another date should have been 2 1/2* (Holiday Inn Express at Las Colonias).
