  1. Is this just a standard message? I always use the PRICELINE box in the upper right. I want to make sure that I am doing this right. Am I posting results correctly? Just want to make sure that I am giving all credit to this board! Thanks, Jeff
  2. I was hoping for the Hilton but I knew this was a possibility. Looks like it is pretty nice for a Holiday Inn. I started at $60 and won which always makes me feel like I got robbed. Room $60+ ~$17 tax for a total of $77. :)
  3. I started my bid at $70 and was given the offer to go to $90 which always wins the bid. Instead I still have four rebids so I went to $75 and was denied and then to $80 and won so I save $10 from the guarantee bid. Onenight at $80 + Tax $21.56 = $101.56 total.
  4. Saw some bids on the site that looked high so I started at $50 and worked up to $75, skipped $70 but probably shouldn't have. One night $75 + Tax of $18.61 = Total $93.61.
  5. I was actually trying to book a 3.5* for the first time as my friend wanted to stay at the Marriott Solana if at all possible. I bid $50 on my first try and it was accepted but it upgraded me to the 4* Marriott Champions Circle. I have not seen this happen before but it is the first time I went for anything below a 4* so maybe it is common. 4 nights at $50 = $200 room + $39.52 Tax for a toal of $239.52. Her conference rate at the 3.5* was $99 per night so she saved over 50%.
  6. Started with Buckhead at $60 and was declined but offered immediate rebid if I went to $75 so I took that and got the Intercontinental. $75.00 + $18.61 tax for a total of $93.61.
  7. Started at $75 increments of $10 got a hit at the $120, skipped $110 and went from $100 straight to $120 so you might try $110. $120 + $27.73 Tax = $147.73. Good deal, not a great deal.
  8. Started bidding for MTE 4* @$100. went through all of the areas without a 4* and finally had to start adding the 4* areas. I think this is a new hotel as it is not on the list. It is only a short distance from the MTE I was originally shooting for so I am good. Got all the way up to $225 with $54.47 Tax so $279.47 total. Not one of my biggest deals but not bad.
  9. My apologies for the $50 subline. Could not determine how to edit. My bid was actually a $75 bid + 17.47 Tax = $92.47 Total for one night. Couldn't find this property less than $199 anywhere else.
  10. Started at $65, then $75, got it at $85. The lowest rate I could find on this hotel was $249 per night. This is a smoking good deal. $85 + $20.20 tax = $105.20
  11. Bid $75 to start and got declined but bid $20 more right now bit and went to $95. Got the Omni for $117 with tax. Very happy with this since it is $179 before tax on "other" sites.
  12. Bid $65 to start and was declined but told me that if I was willing to raise my bid by $20 I could rebid immediately. Got 5 nights for just under $500 at a very nice hotel close to the parks. That's less than $100 a night for a 4*. The other benefit is that you are 12 miles South of the parks so you are avoiding the major Orlando traffic. Very pleased.
  13. Started at $40, then $45, $50 was the number.two nights + tax of ~$20 = $120. Saved over 50%.
  14. Thanks to the board again. Last minute booking for three nights. MSRP was $115, I bid $50 after reviewing the board and got it on the first try. $150 + $28 tax $178 total for three nights.
  15. I bid a little higher than normal on this because I had to get a room. There is a conference in town and since there is only one zone I was not going to be able to re-bid. 2 Nights @ $100 + 33.66 taxes = $233.66. I'm happy with it.
  16. Booked two rooms at once. Success on first bid; $65 per room. Totals for two rooms $130 + $26.04 Taxes = $156.04
  17. Success on first bid. 2 nights at $50 + $20.86 in taxes is $120.86.
  18. Booked two rooms. 1st bid at $50 accepted for two rooms for two nights. Total for both rooms is $240 with tax.
  19. Started out trying to get the Curtis at $45 but had to work into this. Oh well. Booked three rooms at this rate.
  20. Started out at $80, Declined, then $100, Declined. Since there are only three areas (only 1 with 4*s) I had one bid left and went to $120 and it was accepted. We are staying 3 nights for a base of $360 With tax of $66.96 for a total of $426.96. I've stayed at this hotel before and I assure you that I paid much more than this (pre-Priceline/Better Bidding days).
  21. Already had this booked for 4/8-4/9 but plans changed and had to book this one. 3 rooms, $70 Each $210 + $40.32 Tax = $250.32
  22. Got it on the first bid which I hate. I want to get it for bottom dollar. Tax was $17.93 for a total of $87.93.
  23. Tried $140 as I had booked a single night for $150. Was given the option to bid again immediately if I reaised my bid by $22. This has always resulted in a win so I went for it and got the Millenium. This wan't the best deal that I have ever gotten but saved some money.
  24. Took one bid this round but I probably should have started a little lower. Forgot to use my PRICELINE link from Better Bidding. Sorry, will remember next time.
  25. I wanted a hotel in the Union Square East but got up to $150 for 4* with no takers. I used a couple areas for free bids during this so I added Union Square West - Nob Hill and dropped my bid back to $125 and was accepted. Room Subtotal for three nights $375, Taxes $67.83, Total $442.83. Needed a second room so I went back in and only selected USW - Nob Hill and started at $125 and was accepted. Room Subtotal for two nights $250, Taxes $47.46, Total $297.46.
