2. Thanks AaronJB. Listen, I sent a message to thereuare asking what the deal is with amenities. I don't understand why I am putting these in here. Also, not sure what you mean when you say, "Can you confirm the amenities listed before purchase?" I am at a loss here. I will post as required. Thanks, Jeff

6. No problem and FYI, the reason for this high bid point was, as I discovered when I got to SF, the San Francisco Marathon was being held Sunday the 26th. Every hotel in town was booked and at peak prices, but let me tell you this is a phenomenal property and we were thrilled with our room.
7. Started my bidding at $50. I chose the Downtown and Westshore areas. I only needed to avoid Rocky Point as I did not want to stay there and it was the only other area with a 4*. I went up $3, then $2 each time until I reached $75. $75 + $15.80 in Taxes for a total stay for one night of $90.80. Used the PRICELINE link above as always.
8. Not a great deal but I have been bidding for days! I had gotten up to $375 on my last round with no win so today I was willing to go to $425. I started at $350 and on my very first bid, I got the "one-time opportunity" to re-bid right now without changing anything else. I had to raise my bid to $419. In my past experience, this always means a win on your next bid. We won the 5* Loews. Granted, I did not save as much as usual but I have been going after it hard for days. Just glad to be through. My focus from the start was a 4.5* or higher in either SOMA - Moscone, Financial District - Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf or Union Square East Nob Hill. So, for perspective, I got 1 hotel lever higher in an area I wanted, I just did not save as much as I hope. I will call it a win.
9. Tried again tonight and upped my top to $325. Still no win, but I will keep trying and moving up and report progress. Appreciate your help.
10. I did something wrong here. I did these steps: Select 4.5* SOMA and Financial... Bid $170, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $180, if rejected add re-bid zone2... Bid $190, if rejected add re-bid zone3... Bid $200, if rejected add re-bid zone4... Bid $205, if rejected add re-bid zone5... Bid $210, if rejected add re-bid zone6... Bid $215, if rejected add re-bid zone7... Bid $220, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4.5* SOMA and Financial and re-bid zone8... Bid $225, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $230, if rejected add re-bid zone2... Bid $235, if rejected add re-bid zone3... Bid $240, if rejected add re-bid zone4... Bid $245, if rejected add re-bid zone5... Bid $250, if rejected add re-bid zone6... Bid $255, if rejected add re-bid zone7... Bid $260, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... However, I was rejected on the last step but when I went to the next link I got this message: We were not able to process this request since our records indicate you have already made a request for this same trip. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number ###-###-###-##. Now, I am not sure I understood the "re-bid" zone completely. I knew that zones 2,3,9, and 12 had 4.5 star hotels, so I think I bid through each remaining zone (1,4,5,6,7,8,10,11,13). I think that is where I went wrong. Is this what It should look like: Select 4.5* SOMA and Financial... (PL Zones 2 and 9) Bid $170, if rejected add re-bid zone1...(PL Zone 1) Bid $180, if rejected add re-bid zone2...(PL Zone 4) Bid $190, if rejected add re-bid zone3...(PL Zone 5) Bid $200, if rejected add re-bid zone4...(PL Zone 6) Bid $205, if rejected add re-bid zone5...(PL Zone 7) Bid $210, if rejected add re-bid zone6...(PL Zone 8) Bid $215, if rejected add re-bid zone7...(PL Zone 10) Bid $220, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICE.LINE... Select 4.5* SOMA and Financial and re-bid zone8...(PL Zones 2,9,11) Bid $225, if rejected add re-bid zone1...(PL Zone 1) Bid $230, if rejected add re-bid zone2...(PL Zone 4) Bid $235, if rejected add re-bid zone3...(PL Zone 5) Bid $240, if rejected add re-bid zone4...(PL Zone 6) Bid $245, if rejected add re-bid zone5...(PL Zone 7) Bid $250, if rejected add re-bid zone6...(PL Zone 8) Bid $255, if rejected add re-bid zone7...(PL Zone 10) Bid $260, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICE.LINE... And so on or am I missing the boat completely? Thanks.
11. I would like to top out at $300. That, from what I see, would be about a 25% savings over retail. Obviously I want to maximize that but I would live with 3 bills. Thanks.
12. I used to be quite adept at the Priceline thing but haven't traveled as much the past few years. I am headed to San Francisco in a couple of weeks and need a room for the night of 7/25/15. Now, I would like a 4.5 star but I know that Taj is just beyond reason so I am focused on the Omni (Financial District) and the Intercontinental (SOMA - Mosc Ctr). Now, I would generally just select 4.5 and one of the two districts and start a low ball bid. Then, if rejected, I would add the other district and then keep going up $5 or $10 per bid adding districts without any 4.5 star hotels until I got a hit or ran out. So 2 questions? Is this still an effective strategy? and Why does the Priceline Express Deals show two hotels with 5 stars but the gig does not show any? Thanks and glad to be back.
13. Tough bidding this go around. Tried previously up to $75 for the Cool Springs area but no luck. Tried again today, started at $60 and went up in $5 increments to $75. Total $276.96 with $51.96 in taxes for three nights. Be sure to use the BetterBidding PRICELINE link above.
14. Wanted this area had to bid up from $150. 3 Nights, won at $170 per night with $91.53 in taxes for a total of $601.53 for three nights. Great win. Use the PRICELINE link to start your bids.
15. Tried for the 5* Intercontinental up to $100 with no win, dropped to four star after four or five attempts and dropped back to $65, $70, $75 and won at $80. $20.68 in taxes for a total of $100.68. Used the PRICELINE link to open my bid.
16. Tried this the other day and started at $60 and went through my bids up to $100, no win. Tried again today at $110, $120, $130, $135, and finally at $145 and won there. 2 Room at $145/nt for 2 nights =$580 + $100.76 in taxes = $680.76 total bill. I am pretty pleased but not thrilled. Please dont forget to use the PRICELINE link in the upper right hand corner.
17. Usually get this area for a little less but the average rate was higher from the beginning. 1 night at $95 + 22.26 Tax = $117.26 total. Use the PRICELINE link in the upper right hand corner.
18. Started my bid at $55 based on seeing a $60 win and got the decline but will let me rebid immediately at $70. I declined and went back and entered $60 and another zone and won. Saved $10 more dollars. 1 night at $60 plus $16.25 tax for a total of $76.25. I have won this one many times and it is a great location. Please use this PRICELINE link or the box at the upper right.
19. I knew that I had a ton of rebids so I started at $50 and got the "You can rebid now without changing anything if you increase your bid by $15". I have declined this once or twice before and saved $5 but just went ahead because I knew that it would be a win (At least it always has been). Got the room for $65 plust tax of $20.23 for a total of $85.23. The rate on straight booking was $209 so I am very happy. Used the PRICELINE link. Click here or use the box in the upper right hand corner.
20. Saw one successful bid on eth board at $58 and I would only have two bid attempts so I started at $60 and won on first bid. Beats the heck out of the published rate. $60 for one night + $15.46 Tax for a total of $75.46. Used the PRICELINE link. Click here or use the box in the upper right hand corner.
21. I did indeed get a resort fee of $16.95 but they also gave me a great room with an atrium view so I will call it even.
22. Ok, this was a new one for me. I was trying to get the 4* Mona Lisa in Celebration or this new Bohemian that I had never heard of. I started bidding at $50, then $60, then $70 and then $80. If I did not get it at $80 I was going to add another 4* zone and back down to $70. However, at $80 I got the Gaylord Palms Hotel which is listed as a Resort for this area. I guess those count as 4*'s? I have gotten the Champions Gate before so maybe I am just not rememberring how I did that. Anyway, 1 night at $80 + Tax of $18.40 = a Total of $98.40. Very pleased with this. Make sure to start your search using the PRICELINE link in the upper right as I did.
23. Won this the other day at $120 and started today at $100 but ended up at $125. 2 nights at $125 = $250 + $47.84 Tax = $297.84 Total. Used the PRICELINE links above to book this trip.
24. Started bidding at $85, then $100, then $120 was the winner. This is probably at the outskirt of the zone so i will have to drive to my conference but still a major savings. Used the BetterBidding links to PRICELINE. $120 per night x 2 nights = $240 + Tax of $46.42 = Total of $286.42.
25. This was a tough one for sure. Started bidding at $65, then $75, then $85, then $95, then $115. Needed to get the room so I jumped up to $150 as it was my last opportunity and won. Probably could have gotten it for a bit less but I was stuck. 3 nights @ $150 = $450 + Tax of $74.82 = Total of $524.82. Used the Better Bidding link to PRICELINE.
