1. Amenities: Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access

Accessibility: Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible parking

Hotel website price $126, so its a modest savings of 11%, but I also had a Hotwire coupon for $20, so I was able to shave a little off the price.

As always, I used the HOTWIRE link provided.

  2. Tough choice between this and a $197 property in the rockefeller Center zone. We decided to go the less expensive route for our couples weekend.

The hotel website makes it tough to compare prices directly (you only get offered King Suites when you enter 4 adults,) but Junior Suites go for $219. I'm guessing that we will end up in one of those.

Overall i'm very pleased with this deal. Was expecting to pay much more for a 4*.

Amenities listed: Indoor pool, pool, business center, fitness center, restaurant, internet access.

I used the HOTWIRE link at this site.

  3. Originally tried booking a 3.5* yesterday, but was rejected at bids up to $80

I moved down to 3* today. After being rejected at $75, $80 and $85, PL accepted my offer of $90 on the final free re-bid.

Rate for same night via hotel website id $189 for a savings of 52%. Solid win.

As always I used the PRICELINE link provided.

  4. Tried bidding on a 4 star over the weekend without success. Tried again today at 3.5 stars. Started bidding at $65 and used free re-bid zones before being accepted at $85.

Direct booking rate is $110, so it's a savings of 23%.

    Couple of notes:

    1) PL has consolidated the Inner Harbor area hotel zones (see my previous post)

    2) The hotel is no longer the Sheraton City Center as of 5/2014 (not to be confused with the Sheraton Inner Harbor, which still exists). It is now known as the "Baltimore Harbor Hotel." That option was not available when I was typing, so I entered it as the Sheraton.

I used the PRICELINE link provided. Thank you!

  5. This win took a lot longer than my previously posted priceline win ($40 for the 4* Tropicana in May).

I started bidding on 4* hotels several days ago. Used all my free re-bids before getting rejected at $84.

Moved down to 3.5 stars. Again I made use of free re-bids until I got rejected at $84

Tried 3 stars. Got rejected at $60 and then again at $65. I rejected a PL counteroffer at $87 because I knew I could get a 3* for $79 using Express Deals if necessary.

The third time placing a 3* bid was a charm - landed the Excalibur at $75.

Hotel website rate is $107 (one night at $99 and one at $115) for a savings of 30%.

    Not too shabby.

I used the betterbidding PRICELINE link.

  6. The list of Priceline Express hotels for LS Strip Vacinity South does not go below 4*. I'm looking to identify the following for 4/11-4/13

    3* Strip Vacinity South $84

    Free Internet in public areas

    Outdoor Pool

    Business Center

    Fitness Center

    Guest Favorite

    $10 per night Resort Fee

    2.5* Strip Vacinity South $72

    Outdoor Swimming Pool

    Restaurant

    Casino

    Business Center

    $16.74 per night Resort Fee

I've made several attempts to bid on Name Your Own Price. I've been rejected at up to $84 at both the 3.5 and 4* levels. I'm not comfortable paying more than that (especially with resort fees on top) so I dropped down to 3* and bid $70. PL came back with a counteroffer of $87, which I rejected because they have Express Deals for less.

I'm guessing that the 3* is Excalibur, but I have no idea what the 2.5* might be. My plan is try one more Name Your Own Price bid of $75. If that fails, i'll take one of these two Express Deals with the extra 5% off discount.

  7. I'm going to be in Vegas twice this spring - once in April and once in May. I've been trying to book my April dates on PL without success, but when I saw that someone else scored a huge win for my May dates, I placed a $40 bid and was accepted on the first try. VERY excited about this one. Advance Purchase rate is $135, so this is a savings of 70%!

Hopefully the hotel will accommodate my request for two beds.

As usual, I used the PRICELINE link provided here.

  8. Sorry for taking so long to reply - I just noticed that I had a message. The hotel was definitely in LIC and not Elmhurst. When I posted the win, "Long Island City - Elmhurst" came up as a single zone in the dropdown box under the "Post a Win" form.

    Here are the amenities listed:

    Free Breakfast

    Free Internet

    Fitness Center

    Business Center

    Accessible for the blind

    Accessible for the deaf

    Accessible path of travel

    In-room accessibility

    Wheelchair accessible

    Accessible bathroom

    Handicapped parking

    Roll-in shower

  9. Gotcha - even so, my point that the Better Bidding map is not meant to be a comprehensive list still stands. It is simply a list of all the winning bids that have been reported to this site. Looks like you'll be the first person to report a 4* in Southpark. The map is meant for you to be able to check on winning bid histories, not to see what hotels might be availabe for your particular dates. Priceline inventory changes daily.

  10. That's because you're doing it wrong. The maps on this site are not meant to be a comprehensive listing of Priceline's inventory. It's a history of what has been reported by users of this site. Those are two different things.

The ONLY way to find out for sure what star levels are available in each zone is by clicking on the individual zones on Priceline.

You shouldn't give up on this site or on Priceline. You just have to do gain a better understanding of how they work.

Sorry that your hotel bid went wrong. That stinks.

EDIT: And now that I have looked at the Better Bidding map myself, the very first hotel that shows up on the Charlotte list is a 4* in the Airport Zone. So I really have no idea what you were looking at.

  11. It was a 2-day process to get this deal booked. I started yesterday at $80 for a 3* in South Beach and continued to add zones until I topped my bid out at $100 and quit to fight another day.

Today I received a PRICELINE $7 bonus cash reward. Started at $85 for a 2.5* in South Beach and added zones until I won the Airport HIE for $103 ($110 with the bonus cash). Used the PRICELINE link on this site.

I'm pretty familiar with the Miami area and have family scattered throughout the region, so I'll live with being out by the airport in exchange for affordability.
