  1. Started with a bid of $69 using the Priceline link. Rejected. Added Airport North zone and re-bid at $75 and was rejected again. At that point, I was offered a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for a 4* Downtown for $89 per night and accepted it. I was hoping for this property because I have an associate staying here as well. Ameneties: Business Center Free Internet Pool Fitness Center Room subtotal: $267.00 Taxes & fees: $61.26 Total charged today: $328.26
  2. Tried a name your own deal for a 4* at $49 because I have some time to rebid and it was rejected. An express deal for a 4* at $77 was offered. Free Internet, Restaurant, Fitness Center and Pool. I'm happy with the deal. The Marriott site has the cheapest room at $179 for the same night. I used the PRICELINE link. Marriott New Orleans 4 star French Quarter - Canal Street 555 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130 Price: avg. per room, per night $77.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $77.00 Travel Insurance: $5.00 Taxes & Fees: $20.56 Total Charged to Card: $102.56
  3. Wow, really hard to get a room in Savannah downtown during the week. I tried every star level, 3 and up, free re-bid zones and had to wait to rebid again. Won this on the 8 millionth attempt. Best rate on the Sheraton website is $148 a night, still a savings but not looking forward to the $15 per night valet parking (only option). Property did not get the best reviews on the other travel sites. Used the PRICELINE link, of course. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night):$105.00 (USD) Number of Rooms:1 Number of Guests Per Room:2 Number of Nights:2 Room Subtotal:$210.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees:$38.84 (USD) Total Room Cost:$248.84 (USD)
  4. I started at $42, 2* Albany for one night 6/9 - 6/10/11. Rejected. They offered me a one time rebid without changing anything about my request if I agreed to increase my bid at least $15 more. I rejected that offer and added the option of a 1* to get a rebid and increased the amount $3 to $45. I won the bid. I used the PRICELINE link from this site. Thanks!
  5. Used the links to PRICELINE from this site. This is not a bad deal for one night before The Peachtree Road Race. This puts me right at the start of the race. I started at 4* $60 and upped it by $5 per bid using free rebid zones (forest park, six flags, northlake, kennesaw, union city, morrow) until I got the W Buckhead for $95. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $95.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $95.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $21.98 (USD) Total Room Cost: $116.98 (USD) I'm happy with the deal I got.
  6. I just got an email from Hotwire requesting my review of the Super 8. It lists the only amenity as "complimentary breakfast." That was the only one.
  7. I would say it's a one star at best. Very basic. Check in took almost 40 minutes. Only one (slow) person working the front desk and the small check in area was packed full. Hotel was full people who looked barely old enough to rent rooms. Party time all night. Walls were thin so you heard people and the sounds of fire/police cars all night as they passed down Peachtree. I was concerned for our safety and the safety of our car. Several people seemed to just loiter in the parking lot all day/all night. One of the three stairwells was blocked because the stairs had collapsed. Room was clean but furnishings/linens were worn out and old. No shampoo, just two tiny bars of soap. Fridge and microwave in room.
  8. It was definitely Hotwire. How can I view what the amenities are before I purchased? I remember there was only one amenity. I just can't recall which one. I'm very sorry.
  9. Needed a room for the night during Lucky Fest in Midtown. Surprised this is considered a 2*. I'm fairly certain there is free parking here which is a bonus. Used the links.
  10. Last minute trip to Albany. Got $42 on the first try. $84 for both nights plus $16.94 in fees. I used the PRICELINE link. Thanks!
  11. Wanted to spend the last night of our vacation on the strip. Started trying last week. $60 then $67 without luck. Jumped to $80 since I was getting close to departure time. Going rate online is $84.99 per night. After taxes, I'm actually paying $3 more than booking direct. Oh well, I'm not disappointed. I used the PRICELINE link here. Thanks! Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $80.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $80.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $17.92 (USD) Total Room Cost: $97.92 (USD)
  12. Wanted to stay in Buckhead the night of the 3rd because I'm running the Peachtree Road Race the next morning. Started at $50, rejected and used a rebid and bumped up to $54, accepted. Their website shows the lowest rate that night at $109. Half off! Bonus. :) I'm happy. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $54.00 Subtotal: $54.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $15.20 Total Charges*: $69.20 I used the PRICELINE link from this page to make my reservation. Thanks!
  13. I started at $58 and used rebids until I got to $61. Can't wait to try this hotel. I'm staying in Portland the last night of my Oregon trip. I just found this site. I will use the links in the future.
  14. Sigh. I screwed this one up. I was trying to get the Eugene Hilton and was denied the rebids for these dates. So, I added a 1* incorrectly thinking it was a free re-bid since I had never seen anyone report winning a 1* and accidentally ended up getting this 1* hotel in Eugene for $48 a night. Their website lists a "Managers Special" for the same dates at $52 a night. It's my fault. I'll stay there for two nights, but I split the dates and tried again. You'll see a second post where I did win the Eugene Hilton for two of the nights. I'm just going to eat the cost of the "Americas Best" for 2 of the nights because I didn't want to spend my entire vacation there. Live and learn! :) Again, I found this site after I made all these bids. Hopefully, it will help me avoid mistakes like this! I'll use the links in the future.
  15. Started at $48...won at $48. The Hilton is a great property. Great deal. I only just found this site after booking my trips. I will be happy to use the PRICELINE links on this site in the future.
  16. Started two days ago at $45, changed my dates and went up to $50...no luck. Waited the 48 hour waiting period and tried again, this time went up to $56. I've stayed at the La Quinta many times before. It's....okay. Guess it's not too bad for Memorial Day weekend. Priceline listed it at $79 per night upfront if I didn't choose my own price. I would have been happy to use the links to support the site but I found this site after I made all my priceline reservations. I'll use it in the future.
