  1. I used your PRICELINE link and bid 3.5* $80/night in the Kona region, trying to get the Kona Coast Resort condos despite their being listed on Hotwire for about double my bid. Rejected. Added Hilo, the system checked "Resorts" since it's a higher category, and I bid $85/night. That bid was accepted at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa, the old Kona Surf before a $35million remodel a few years back. We've stayed there many times under both names and like the place. Rooms are big and the staff is nice. It sits on what I think is the finest piece of real estate on the Kona coast. With a price like this we'll probably be in the high-rise part facing the mountain, and they charge for parking and levy a $15.62/day Resort fee which Priceline does not reveal in advance, as if it's not part of the room charge, but it's not an awful deal. Lowest rack rate is $179 which is not worth it. I prefer the Kona Coast condos for easier access (it's a long hike to your room from the parking lot here) and having a full kitchen. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $85.00 Subtotal: $595.00 Taxes & Fees: $97.58 Total Charges*: $692.58

Immediate rebid offered by PL for $55. I rejected that. Added second area and bid $49 since there were three areas without 3* and others had gotten this for $56. I planned $45, 49, 53, $56. Got it at $49. One other poster got this for $48/night. Tulsa Crowne Plaza's reviews on tripadvisor are mixed, but I've always found them to be nice hotels. HOTWIRE offered a downtown 3.5* unknown to this forum for $67. Amenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access. Used your PRICELINE link.

Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $43.00 Subtotal: $43.00 Taxes & Fees: $13.77 Total Charges*: $56.77 I won this hotel on the first bid after researching here. Used your PRICELINE link to start. 4. Used your PRICELINE link First bid $42. Rejected. Second bid 445. Accepted. Little Rock Airport (LIT) 3201 Bankhead Drive Little Rock, Arkansas 72206 501-490-1000 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $45.00 Subtotal: $45.00 Taxes & Fees: (exorbitant) $12.83 Total Charges*: $57.83 This hotel gets very good reviews for having been renovated recently, great beds, quick check-in. Internet is free in public areas and business center. Not clear if that is the case in rooms. I stayed here last year and the property is very nice, but it is all by itself on the Interstate with only a Waffle House nearby. A car is essential. Restaurant has been reviewed as having good food and extremely slow service when a large group stays there. I'm happy with this hotel at this price.
  5. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $49.00 Subtotal: $49.00 Taxes & Fees: $12.74 Total Charges*: $61.74 Started at $47 after researching at betterbidding.com. Rejected. Added Duncan which has no 3.5* and raised to $49. Accepted. This is equal to a previous post for this property. I started with your PRICELINE link. Thanks again for a helpful site.
  6. The New Yorker Hotel also known as Ramada Plaza New Yorker Hotel. Wanted to be near Penn Station and this is only three blocks away. One bid and I won it. Their lowest non-refundable rate on their web site for that night is $129+ tax. Reviews are quite good. TripAdvisor 3.5*. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $100.00 Subtotal: $100.00 Taxes & Fees: $27.58 Total Charges*: $127.58
  7. First bid accepted. Hotwire wanted $85/night Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $70.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 7 Room Subtotal: $490.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $77.14 (USD) Total Room Cost: $567.14 (USD) I forgot to use your HOTWIRE link. My apologies. :)
  8. Stayed here two nights 8/31/09 and enjoyed our stay. They told us we could have as many cookies as we wanted so OF COURSE WE LOVED THE HOTEL! Friendly check in, close parking, quiet room recently redone, very friendly staff when passing in hallways. VERY close to entrance to Biltmore; a matter of blocks. Directly across the street from the Village. Lots of high priced restaurants nearby. Friday's on premises. A real bargain at the Priceline price.
  9. I am in the hotel now and it's very nice. The location is very hard to get to because of being near the intersection of three Interstate highways, but look for the billboards and do what they say. This place has the flavor of a conference center. Many buildings, all three floors or less. Friendly check in, view of woods out sliding glass door/balcony, beautiful setting, quiet; off highway, but near by. Very nice room appears newly redone. Refrigerator, free Internet, comfy bed four pillows per. Heater/A/C blower stays on rather than cycles which is better for sleep. We were very happy with this place and would stay here again.
  10. Used your PRICELINE link. Bid $55 first. Rejected. They offered $15 more. I went back to modify the entire bid and added airport. Offered $58. Accepted. Nice hotel, good price.

  12. Used your PRICELINE link. First offer accepted. Congratulations, your price of $55 was accepted by Doubletree Hotel Biltmore/Asheville. 13. EDIT: The breakfast buffet was as nice as any I've seen, every employee I ran into was really friendly (where am I?), the grounds are even prettier than I'd realized yesterday upon check-in and the beds are very comfortable. Also, the Weather Channel (The Commercial Channel) is available; just not on the list in their desktop book.
  14. Bid once at $55 because I didn't have time to fool with it. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00 Subtotal: $55.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $13.51 Total Charges*: $68.51 See my favorable review of renovated portion of this hotel.
  15. The hotel is about 1/4 mile from I-81, three miles north of Scranton. Which part of this hotel you stay in makes all the difference. We got a newly redone room in the partially renovated building of the 2 1/2 buildings they have finished out of six. They were still laying carpet in the hallway. In spite of my having forgotten to call ahead to request a room with two beds, the girl at the front desk managed to come up with one that not only had two beds, but had been freshly renovated. There were two queen-sized beds with down comforters. Everything in the large room was brand spanking new including pretty carpet and furniture, nice lamps, new tile in the bath, and a High Def TV, although the Weather Channel, alias The Commercial Channel, was not listed among the only 25 channels listed in the directory. Wireless Internet access is free and works at a reasonable speed. You can have a free, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie at the front desk between 3pm and 5pm. Breakfast is free between 6am and 10am, but I have not yet tried it. There was an indoor pool just down the hall from us. We were in the back away from the highway and all was quiet. There's a nice grocery store across the street and the area seems okay. This looks like a nice hotel that got old and is now slowly being brought back to being a pretty nice place. There are walkways everywhere and plantings along the way. I have read less favorable reviews of the unrenovated buildings, but for us in the new part, it was a great deal for $55.
  16. Hotwire offered a 3-star in Scranton, PA (all areas of town included) for $56. Looking at the Scranton hotels list on this forum, I thought I'd get either the Hilton Scranton or the Radisson Lackawanna Station so this is a new hotel for your list. Looking online for prices at that hotel, I found a non-refundable rate of $79/night with a 3-day advance minimum purchase, so $56 is a good deal. I used Hotwire to book rather than Priceline because of all the negative feedback on The Inn at Nichols Village. I've never stayed there. Amenities are: Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant(s), and Laundry Facilities. Hotel rate per night - Hotwire hot Rate: PricePerNight:$56.00 NoOfNights:1 NoOfRooms:1 SubTotal:$56.00 TaxesAndFees:$12.64 TotalPrice:$68.64 Booked thru your HOTWIRE link. Thanks for a great site.
  17. First bid of $41 was rejected. Added area without a 3* and rebid $44. Accepted. I bid both times from the PRICELINE link on this site, although Priceline offered me a chance to rebid without changing anything if I upped the offer by $12. Check-In Date: Monday, May 18, 2009 Check-Out Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2009 Hotel Name: Courtyard By Marriott Brentwood 103 East Park Drive Brentwood, Tennessee 37027 615-371-9200 Your Offer Price: $44.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $44.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $15.80 Total Charges*: $59.80 Thanks for a very useful site.
