  1. Started bidding at $90 and worked my way up to $120 (in $5 increments) by adding zones and changing dates, selected the 4 star category so I could have a chance to win the Hyatt and not be limited to hotels such as the Marriott or the Sheraton.
  2. I'm not sure I understand... you bid 5* but you ended up with a 4* hotel?
  3. I would suggest lowering the star rating to 4 stars, this will lower the median price significantly and you will have a better chance in the 90$ to 120$ range. The hotels that come up the most are the Marriott, Sheraton and the Hyatt Regency... In the last 2 years I've won the Hyatt 4 times and the Marriott once, although at the moment the Marriott seems to be the most popular.
  4. 1st bid... 4 stars, 85$, Waikiki Beach REJECTED 2nd bid... 89$, added Honolulu Airport REJECTED 3rd bid... 90$, added Diamond Head REJECTED 4th bid... 92$, added Executive Center REJECTED 5th bid... 95$, added Waianae REJECTED 6th bid... 98$, added Waikiki City Central ACCEPTED I was a little afraid I would get the Marriott when I saw all the bids that had been won around that time but I guess I lucked out, it'll be my 4th stay at the Hyatt and I just love the location and the staff...
  5. First bid of 82$ accepted, paid 115 back in june so this is a real bargain!
  6. Started bidding at 90$ in the 4 star category and Waikiki Beach area only, rejected, went up to 95$ and added Waikiki City Center... rejected, changed the price to 98$ and added Honolulu Airport... rejected, tried 99$ and added Executive Center and that was accepted. Looking forward to this stay at the Marriott to see how it compares to the Hyatt where I stayed the last time.
  7. Been trying this for a few days... started bidding at 100$ with the Waikiki Beach area only selected in the 4 star category... rejected, went up to 110 and added Waikiki City Central... rejected... added Honolulu Airport and went up to 115 and was finally accepted and got upgraded to resort. Wasn't sure if I'd get the Sheraton or the Hyatt... according to most reviews the Hyatt looks like the better one of the two so I couldn't be happier!
