One more point.... Oct is over 3 months away and Priceline may not even have gotten inventory for hotels yet. They usually get inventory (with good prices) within 3 weeks of travel. Crystal City is only 3 metro stops away from the Museums in Downtown DC and they always seem to have great rates...

Tried $40 added DC zones + lowered star 6 times went to $45 and added 2.5 stars and got it. Hey it has free parking... that is worth $14 / night right there in DC....LOL :)

I tried multiple times for DC in other zones in Downtown or near Downtown but no bites at $60. After 4 bids I added Crystal and lowered my price. I used the PRICELINE link on BetterBidding
