Arriving on a late PM flight for a family meeting the next day then back to Ann Arbor. I may change my rental pickup time to AM to avoid the valet charge, Shuttle from LAX to Hotel, Shuttle from Hotel back to LAX, Then Shuttle from LAX to Hertz. I have stayed at both . "THE Hotel" is a differenr experience. Suites are nicer. Three Plasma TV's One in Living Room One in the Bedroom and one in the Bathroom. It has a botique hotel feel. You also feel the isolation from the rest of the strip a plus to some a minus to others. I like the V and have enjoyed it at a good rate thanks to PL However: I'm returning to LV next month and just made this choice "THE Hotel"

FYI -- As a HHonors Gold I got coupons for free breakfast each day and a free cocktail each evening at this hotel, and they gave me one of the remodeled rooms on the 4th floor. Even allowed a very early (9:30 AM) check in and game me passwords to use the Hotel wifi. Good value and experience for the price. Hope to get the hotel again on my next trip to DTW maps

I have had good luck with this property. This will be my third PL stay this year, and two more planned. $55 + or - $5 seems to be the number but as always YMMV No FFN problems in the prior two, but of course that will end on PL stays as of 3/05. Ordered room service, made one phone call, and got a coffee at the store across from the main desk to tripple ensure FFN. Go Blue! Maps

I had been bidding on this property for the past two weeks and was rejected on bids as high as $70! Used the full allocation of free bids every 72hrs. I need this particular hotel - no subsitute. FFN and an event at the property so I was willing to go high. Rebid this time in a panic... so I started at $60. Accepted on first bid. Maps

Got much from this board lurking, wanted to give back. Got PL $116 for Sat night. First try (9/6) started at 89 and went in $5 increemtns up to $109 - no luck One week later (9/13) Bid in $4 incrementssarting at $100. First bid they countered at $127 so I knew I could get close. Would have held out for a better deal but need this particular property on Sat night 10/9. Thanks for a great board! mapsgl
