Got the Strand Palace Hotel for $150/night. Room to be assigned at check-in, but I hope for at least a Cozy Double. Totals with taxes and fees is $745.72. I started out bidding on 5* hotels in the Mayfair-Soho zone and wasn't getting far. I added 4* hotels and dropped my price to $145. One successful rebid to $150 snagged the deal.

I always get the Courtyard Marriott for $50. But, this time, I decided to play around a little and started out at $43 for a 3* in Montgomery East. I added Montgomery with no success, but when I added 2.5* I won the Country Inn and Suites. It includes a continental breakfast. Hotels.com sells this property for $71 and Priceline sells it for $70, so I saved about 40%.

Bid $37 for a 2* in Auburn, AL on 8/20/11. Won the Jameson Inn for $37.
