  1. 3 star Ohana Waikiki West , used Express Deals on PRICELINE

    Price per night:  $69 us

    Rooms:  1

    Nights:  7

    Room Subtotal:  $483.00

    Taxes & Fees:  $87.85

Priceline Hotel Coupon:  -$24.15Congratulations! Your 5% coupon successfully applied! used coupon :summer14

    Total Price:

All prices are in U.S. Dollar.  $546.70

im very happy with my winning. some negative review, but are mostly directed at elevator slowness and hotel decoration of its time.

If i wanted a speedy elevatory i would have chosen a business district  hotel location, if i wanted a newer contemporary hotel i would have chosen a 4 or higher rating hotel.

for a stress free , a good bed, a good service kinda good place where people smile and a place to crash only, then all i want is a 3 star. for $65.80 with coupon code I can't complain. i think finally i got a great deal

hotel website showing $89us best price, but was able to get it $69 plus another 5% off coupon summer14 = $65.80 per night.

waikiki hotels always sell out if you wait at the last minute.

  2. tried a few bids and then asked at $82 that i could get it for $20 more. I bit the hook and got the Bellingham Best Western Lakeway Inn for $102 plus taxes =$120us on priceline name your price. when i booked out following day, got a bill for $90 plus taxes $99 total. they said that was priceline bill, not to worry. my bill is actual paid. just for the record, the mattresses and pillows are dead aweful at this hotel and the wallpaper is peeling.

we bid on the same day we arrive at the hotel, we won bid at 2pm on priceline and was checked same day at 3pm at the hotel. so i guess they really don't discount much in the summer time for weekends and last minute since they are located next to the highway.

    good luck to all.

  3. its June 7th 2011, i tried at 10pm to bid for Seattle downtown (Pike place area)

these bids are for September 23rd 2011.

i tried $75 not accepted for Seattle downtown

i tried $85 not accepted while adding (Brothel) since no 4 star

I tried $96 not accepted (Union Lake) since there's no 4 star hotel in that area,, gives me another free bid.

i feel for September,, no 4 star hotel like the Westin and Sheraton deserves anything over $85 a night. last minute for the Westin usually goes from as low $65 and around $75 which i won a few times every fall. will try again next month. I did use the PRICELINE link on this betterbidding.com website.

Hotel is for us to stay the night before catching a one night Princess cruise for Vancouver

lots of sales this weekend. yahoo!!

    Jacqui and Steve ya bidding?

    thanx betterbidding until next time.

  4. When you bid on airfare you agree to at least one connection... there is no way to bid on direct flights only.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

united airlines/ air canada have direct flight to Maui and Honolulu , they have seat sales that they advertised every 6 weeks around $420 taxes included.. alsow westjet has direct flights from vancouver... vancouver is only 35 minutes from Bellingham as you already know, but for others on here who don't know.

delta airlines also has seats salesfrom vancouver via seattle or los angeles for $440 taxes included.. just keep ur eyes open.. alaska airlines does not participate in huge discounts on priceline name your price.

i use cheapoair.com and just check every day usually on wednesday and friday.

allegiant air will commence the new hawaiian route November 2011. tickets go on sale september 6 . suppose to be introductory sale starting $99 each way . their seat sales are usually on wednesdays at 4am pacific time or 5am mountain time every 9 weeks

  5. i usually win Suv on Priceline "name your price " in any city for $24, but for Long Beach Airport, they wouldn\t take up to $34 which i think is $10 too much for dinky airport .

i'm going to shuttle it to a hotel between that airport and Lax then cab it to get an standard Suv at LAX for $24.

  6. 4 star (Hollywood beach) The Diplomat in Hollywood beach is the luck of the draw, 80% of the time those will win only the Crown. You'd be amaze how well it is for a hotel.

For Ft Lauderdale,, anything between $109 to $125 guarantees you the W Hotel on the beach in Ft Lauderdale Beach.

if you want a decent hotel with decent clientele,, try the Pelican Beach resort in Ft lauderdale. i love this place

  7. i was going to try $41 for a 3.5 star for Orange county Anaheim,, but decided i didn't want to have to wait a second to rebid if it wasn't accepted. so i went for $45 for 5 days jul 29th to aug 3 which is a stat long weekend for most Canadians visiting the USA.

i read many great positive reviews and was hoping to get this place..

we usually stay at LAX Hilton for $45 but the valet is over priced, the valet guys squeal your new SUV rental tires all the way down 4 level parkade and you wait forever for getting your car plus you have to hand them 2 stupid valet tickets. anyways, no more Hilton lax for us.

you need a car anywhere you are staying in California, especially in los angeles. we are flying in \Long Beach Airport instead of LAX with Allegiant air for $18 each way from Bellingham, Washington. i love better bidding and yes i did use PRICELINE on this site.

big thanx! my next name your price suv for $29. i'll book it when i have more room on my credit card next week.

  8. we end up staying at the Crown in Hollywood Beach , bid for two nights, had to leave at 11pm first nite,, wife was very sick and drove to Orlando since my folks knew what to do and who to see (the doctor) in Orlando.

Crown re-reimburse my credit card two days later. they did charge us for the first nite. i was quite surprise to see re-reimbursement. its really not a bad hotel and pretty good location. Valet are pretty good, i would give them 5 stars.

we had done name your price on Priceline. I was hoping to get Westin Diplomat when bidding, after seeing the Crown, i would be ok winning this hotel again. Too bad for her sinus infection that weekend that lasted 2 weeks.

i was asked to give an update after 2 months. its a pleasure!

  9. I bid on PRICELINE name your own price, been watching 4 star for Seattle (pike place zone) and was hesitant to bid, not to get the edgewater and knew a good possibility for Westin which i was ok.

Didn't care about the valet cost since in other cities its over $30-$35 a-day anyways.

It took about 15 minutes for my bid to go thru and finaly the Pan Pacific. I was shocked and happy. I had bad experience in the past getting Best Western dumps in Burlington/Mt Vernon, Washington & the dump Best Western in Ft Myers Florida. I was unhappy with PRICELINE previously winning winning those Best Western, but decided to rebid because the regular prices for these downtown hotels in dirty Seattle are way over price and the area lacks good restaurants and entertainment compared to its sister city Vancouver Canada.

we are doing a one night cruise from vancouver to Seattle and now we can stay overnite .

i started at $70 4 star seattle Pike place , rejected

added Belleview and rebid $74 for 4 star. accepted for May 15th 2010 :)

  10. Its MARCH BREAK!

They sell out or will sell out at their premium asking website. Your too close to bid for a sellout time of the year. keep trying,, ya just never know.

Major snowstorms across north america, torrential rains in the westcoast, cruise ships crazy sell off and cruise critic people need hotels including the March breakers.

  11. Trust me, not happy,, twice i have won a Holiday INN and a Crowne Plaza.. what bad luck! both places should have been a 2.5 star and 3 star. How do these places get these type of high ratings? God where is the logistics in that? should have been no more than $45~$55 for these two dumps.

won the Crowne Plaza last nite for $101 *4 star, (not Happy) better of unselecting Hollywood Florida.

i should have bidded $180 to get the Westin Diplomat & resort.

Can't wait to arrive at 2pm to be told i have to wait t'ill 4pm to check in and then given a second floor with a view of the Parking lot like they do with the Hilton when you using Priceline.lol

dates Feb 24 to feb 28th

  12. you sure pick the most expensive time to go to Florida.. its March break for 190 million kids who 11% come from the UK, US, CAN, and Europe to Florida.

Your going to be so stressed with traffic and having to keep a closer eye on your kids on the beach.

you might better off using HOTWIRE secret hotel and pay the price that is shown.. seems that for March break, only high end hotels are offering $195 ~up on priceline name your price. Cheaper to use HOTWIRE for March.

you might want to see launch number two of the shuttle since they are only 5 launches left t'ill fall 2010, until all the space shuttles expires for life and go into various museums.

  13. I bid 3 times with 4 star for February 18th to February 20th -- 2nights stay

    1st bid $85 Hollywood, Florida

2nd bid $90 Hollywood Fl and Ft Lauderdale Beach

3rd bid increased to $96 with Ft lauderdale Beach, Hollywood Florida, and Pompano Beach

No go! failed to win a 4 star

Hotwire has a 4 star that was $113 advertising on January 16th now january 19th went up to $119 . its "the Crown" (BOOOOOOOO)

The Crown is Bad location and not even close to the beach, you have to walk like Frogger across that crazy traffic to get to the beach. Not worth over $80 per night for any season of the year!

I was praying the whole time i wouldn't get the CRown. Thank god !

Hotels dot com at the last minute next month,, they are pretty good for any stay within the next 3 days.

i did use Better bidding PRICELINE link on this website, please do as it helps this guy pays for this website.

  14. i put in $24 for a suv on Priceline name your price for Orlando airport. and won!

I usually only do Hotels, but figured i'd try name your price for a car rental. I usually use Dollar, but they haven't been competitive in last two years now.

i picked for feb 6th 9:30pm pick up and return Feb 21st 3:30pm drop off

    National Car rental

    MCO- Orlando International

    standard SUV

    $24.00 (per day)

Total Rental Days: 15 days(14 days and 17 hours)

    Subtotal: $360.00

    Taxes and Fees: $158.50

    Total Charges: $518.50

    Lowest Published Price: $1367.42

Total Savings:* $848.92 (You saved 62%)

  15. I thought i'd get what people have been winning for a 3 star . I end up winning a 2 star hotel on a 3 star bid. The area is terrible and the beds are very uncomfortable. I stayed here two years ago. Priceline star system , really needs to be updated. Gosh!

when i got the email of the Holiday Inn Fort Myers Downtown Historic, i threw up next to my chair in the kitchen. Now i have to get Gavascon and not tell the wife.

I'll probably do a no show and book on hotels.ca at the last minute. really disappointed.

I can say for smaller towns and cities, name your price sux. In bigger places like Los Angeles, Priceline works great!

be the last time i'd use Priceline for smaller cities.

anyways, the winning bid is $56 for 4 nights beginning february 14th.

hint! if your going to bid for beaches near Ft Myers,

don;t click Ft Myers and/or (the box with surrounding gateway Islands)with a 3 star, go with a 3.5 star or avoid Ft myers and the box for gateway Islands.
