  1. something is going on in NYC that week...the hotels have all upped their prices
  2. THanks! Not sure if I'm going now. Was supposed to go to a wedding..but found out the invite list was shortened. Saved me some money!
  3. Hi, The stay is 4/26-4/28. Thanks! I never got the email link reply.
  4. Need help identifying a couple hotels in Mt. Laurel 3*, comp breakfast, pool, fitness, business center, hispeed internet, "customer favorite/best value" - offer is $63 2 1/2*, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry - offer is $89 Any thoughts? I'm guessing 3* is Doubletree or Fairfield . Thanks!
  5. Sorry, the hotel's amenties are: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry, High Speed Internet
  6. 3 star, Downtown Buffalo...Hotwire $65. Priceline didn't accept my bids up to $66. Going to a wedding, and the wedding couple booked a group of rooms there for the guests at a special rate of $109....I got the same place for $65 thru Hotwire! Nice savings...helps go towards the wedding gift!
  7. Sorry about forgeting to add the date..didn't notice. 5/18-20. Regular website and Orbitz rate was $143-149. Hotwire offer was $64, and I'm pretty sure that was the same hotel. Priceline states 3 star, where Hotwire states 3 1/2 stars.
  8. I have been bidding off and on for a couple weeks, gradually increasing from $47 to $58. Had no success with 4* up to $70: Accepted $58 for a 3* at DELTA MONTREAL. Number of Rooms: 3 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $348.00 (US dollars) Taxes & Service Fees: $71.01 (US dollars) Total Charges: $419.01 (US dollars)
  9. May 18-29, 3 rooms. It says 2 1/2 star for $49. boutique, comp bfast, restaurant. Is this Hotel Champ du Mars? From reviews I've read...sounds quite below par.
  10. What ammenties was the Aladdin? Stars? Curious, going next week and still comparing prices! I"m nuts. Thanks.
  11. Thanks for the tidbit...i think we'll stick with the subpar Casino Royale for $75 based on how much time we'll really be in the place. Hope it's not toooo depressing! Now it's on to the Sun/Mon portion. First Hard Rock, then Hooters, and now friend mentions Paris. man oh man... and we still have yet to figure out Canyon/Sedona nights.
  12. Thanks "thereyouare" .... it sounds like you're really against downtown for accomodations. Casino Royale sounds like it might be it. At the other end of the spectrum I'd like your thoughts...Casino Royale vs Stratosphere/Sahara? For Sun/Mon it seems we're headed to Hard Rock, cuz my friend wants to hang at the pool on Sunday for a spell...and i guess they have a good scene on Sunday. He also wants to maybe stay at Hooter's. I know this is off topic for Hotwire...because they're not listed. Any thoughts on these places? It's not that we're the bachelors on the prowl or anything (being that Hooter's is a choice..i guess the pics look decent, not cuz of the girls believe me).
  13. As for a Fri and Sat nite, I don't want to spend over $100 a night. Sun and Mon we will probably end up at Hard Rock Hotel, but for Fri/Sat we are trying to be conservative based on prices. Sure I'd love the Venetian at $100..but that's not going to happen. We currently have rooms at Casino Royale only because of the location, which I believe is mid strip right next to The Venetian. Nothing glamorous, no casino..etc. But we figure we are getting in at midnight Fri nite, so how much time are we spending "at" the hotel. Then Saturday roaming about during the day, then "O" show at night, and whatever after that..then back to the hotel. Sun/Mon we'll switch to a good deal somewhere. Are you implying that "downtown" vegas is really that bad? As opposed to staying at this Casino Royale, which I'm not expecting very much out of? Thanks!
  14. Hotwire offers this hotel for 7/28-30 (Fri-Sun) ... 3-star hotel in Downtown Las Vegas with Casino, Pool, Restaurant and "Best Value". Any ideas which one it is? Thanks!
  15. I'm probably going to split up the 4 nights, 2 nite (Fri/Sat), 2 nite (Mon/Tues) . Hotwire offers a 4-star hotel in Downtown with Resort, Casino, Restaurant, Business Center and "Best Value" for $79 for Fri/Sat request. Any idea? And then in a 3-star hotel in North Strip, offering Resort, Casino, Rest, Pool, Health, Spa, Golf, Laundry for $35 "best value" for Sun&Mon nites. Any idea? Suggestions? It's our first time to Vegas...am I being too chintzy? We've bought tix for 2 Cirque shows and are heading to the Grand Canyon after Vegas. Thanks! Marc
  16. Hi, sorry for not following up sooner. I still haven't booked a room. Finally got our show tickets. The Stratosphere does not thrill me, and I'd rather not there. Too far down the strip. I'll let you know how I proceed.
  17. Hi, thanks for replying! July 29 (sat) - Aug 3 (thur)
  18. Can someone advise what hotel they think this is? Hotwire offer in Las Vegas North Strip, 3*, Resort, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Spa, Golf Nearby, Laundry. My guess is the Tropicana.
  19. Yeah, hotel website's price for the dates was $161 U.S. per night. So, $65 is still pretty good. Didn't realize Montreal currency is doing better, or U.S. is getting worse! Last time I went in 2003, I paid $39 for 3*, but it was Jan 1st.
  20. 1st bid at up to $55 last week, not accepted. Today started with 3* at $60, rejected, but offered room for $77. I added 2 1/2* and was accepted at $65. Lowest Hotwire was $81 for 3* or $83 for 2 1/2*. Your Offer Price: $65.00 (US dollars) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $130.00 (US dollars) Taxes & Service Fees: $24.39 (US dollars) Total Charges: $154.39 (US dollars)
  21. Amenities listed on Hotwire included: HOTEL, RESTAURANT, POOL (INDOOR), FITNESS (a few cardio machines, no weights, can use Gold's Gym across street for $10).
  22. This hotel needs to be downgraded on Hotwire. I just came back from staying there and there is no way this place is 3*! No way!!! Frumpy lobby, horrendous beds, springs stuck out, fabric shredding, housekeeping didn't clean rooms well. Hole in bathroom sink. Old run down showers. Priceline has the Clarion Hotel at 2* now supposedly. Hotwire needs to follow suit. The Fairfield Inn was much better than this place.
