  1. Tried bidding initially below what the discount price would be, just to see if I could save a few dollars. Ended up using PRICELINE EXPRESS. $56... Regular rate is $88, plus taxes $102. Just a quick stay before moving into Hyatt Regency downtown. At least has an outdoor pool if there's a heatwave.
  2. Yeah hopefully it'll be good for what it is...an outdoor pool to refresh after the car ride, and an easy jaunt to the evening's event. Switchin to another hotel 3* Saturday night (previously won before knowing travel plans). However an outdoor pool in the heat of summer
  3. Needed an extra night and wanted to make sure I had an outdoor pool, and it comes with decent reviewed breakfast. Figured I'd be getting Fairfield Inn. Started at $49 for 2 1/2...used 2 free bids and accepted at $53. PRICELINE EXPRESS listed it at $61. Advance purchase is $116-$126, or regular rate is $129-$139 Number of rooms: 1 room Number of nights: 1 night Room subtotal: $53.00 Taxes & fees: $12.74 Total charged today: $65.74 Total charged: $65.74 Savings: You saved 54%
  4. Attending a wedding...used various free rebids starting at $65 for 3 star...ending at $75. Regular online rate is $139-$149 depending on room. Disappointed no outdoor pool :( PRICELINE EXPRESS had room listed at $82. Purchase date: Jul 7, 2015 Deal type: Name Your Own Price Offer price: $75.00 /night Number of rooms: 1 room Number of nights: 1 night Room subtotal: $75.00
  5. Could tell there were only 3 hotels in that area that are available. Would have liked Hliton or Homewood Suites, but knew only Crowne Plaza would accept based on Priceline Express ($88) and Hotwire ($123?!). Bid a couple times in the past week, starting at $72-$75. Today jumped to $79 and was accepted. It works for me (regular rate $140).
  6. Ameniities listed: Free parking Free breakfast Free Internet Resort Beachfront hotel Free food and drinks A la carte dining Free water activities Free entertainment
  7. NOTE: This hotel apparently looks like it has been downgraded from 4* to 3 1/2*. Now wishing we took a 4star. Well it is what it is, and didn't want to spend boat load to experience an "all inclusive" style place. Fingers crossed! 2 nights Hotwire Hot Rate Room@ $117.00/night $234.00 (regular rate on website mininum style room is $180 a night). Tax recovery charges & fees $23.50 Subtotal $257.50 Hotwire Total $257.50
  8. Place works for me..everything i need to do is really not that far away (being from NYC area, 15-20 minutes is no big deal)...and for requiring just a hotel with good reviews on the cheap...it's kind of a no brainer for me.

Offer Price: Started at $44. avg. per room, per night US$ 46.00 (regular website rate $89) Rooms: 1 Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: US$ 92.00 Taxes & Fees: US$ 20.04 Total Charged to Card: US$ 112.04 Prices are in US dollars.
  11. Booked this room for the night we arrive, before we head to Playa Del Carmen. Thought we'd get our own impression of over-done Cancun. Upside: looks like a great resort hotel; downside: reports say far away from the night life. It is what it is for the right non-overpriced price. 1 night Hotwire Hot Rate Room@ $63.00/night $63.00 Tax recovery charges & fees $17.36 Subtotal $80.36 Hotwire Total $80.36

  14. Stayed here recently in May 2014 and rooms were clean, comfy, modern. Free breakfast was standard motel fare. Go in town and get a delicious breakfast biscuit sandwich instead :) Regular rate is $144.
  15. I started looking on 6/5 with no success (and had printed the sections out). Today on 6/25 the sections are changed, with 2 additional sections. Asheville Downtown - Biltmore Esate is NOW divided into 3 sections ---There is an overall "Asheville", "Asheville-Biltmore "East", and Asheville Historic Biltmore Village. Going to confuse my bidding now!

  18. used free rebid zones. Basically tried a few times this week, up to $54 for 3 1/2 and up to $45 for 3*, no luck. Ended up at $55 for 3 1/2 *. Best regular rate on Hilton site was $89. With fees/tax still came to $134.
  19. Through a couple free rebids...bid $39 + $7 Priceline bonus offer. Needed to be close to my folks at another hotel, and was hoping for something with a pool! Alot of downtime to be had. Hope it's a good one! Lowest online rate says $89.99 (or $80.99 AAA rate).
  20. Yes, it sounds good on paper. However upon calling the hotel about their renovations, which is roof, rooms, pool area..etc..they said the pool may not be ready and they weren't sure when that would be. It'll be hot in June when I'm there (with plenty of time to do nothing between the celebration affair attending), so I was counting on all of the 3* and above hotels in Perimeter area to have pools, and they all pretty much do, so this one to not be in service will be disappointing. Happy hour is only tuesday-thursday (so the weekend's a bust :). Long story short, I worked something out with PL :)
  21. SONESTA ES SUITES ATLANTA - $49. Oh crap...this is what one gets for trying to nickel and dime Priceline deal. I have a sense Priceline credibility is going down...reserving deals for their "Express" option. Howtire 3* was $54 (and now looking at Priceline express after the bid acceptance, they have a 3* for $55 with breakfast-Hyatt Place?) Last week was not getting successful up to $42. Today, started bid at $45 for 3* in Perimeter...came back with counter offer at $56. Bid a few more times, with dollar increases using free rebid zones, and ended up at $49 with Sonesta Es Suites Atlanta ...who? Their 7 day prebook rate is $67...wow..big friggin deal. whopping 27% savings off some unknown place. May only deal with Hotwire from now on..who knows. None to pleased here.
  22. Hoping to get away with $45? HOTWIRE offers a 3* for $51.
  23. Looking for a hotel in Atlanta Perimeter area. 3 stars or up. Fri June 14-Sun June 16 There are 4 free rebid areas ( 2 1/2 stars or less...Chamblee, Forest Park, Jones.., Morrow) Hilton Garden Inn -$89 Hyatt Place - $74 Rsidence Inn - $89 La Quinto $75 Went there year and half ago and stayed at Hilton Garden Inn via Priceline for $41. Any bidding suggestions? Thanks!
  24. Are you saying you bid $150 for 4star and Priceline didn't bite? It seems you got 4* for $150 Just curious, cuz I'm looking for same dates (plus 4/26). Thanks!
