  1. Hi everyone, I'm going to Chicago for a wedding near the Palmer House area, staying for 1 night on 9/19. Any advice on a starting bid around that date? I don't need to stay at Palmer House, but would be nice to get it in the bid. Thanks! GT
  2. Started at $80 then moved up to $95 based on previous bids, and got Le Meridien, 4* in Vienna 7/6-7/7/09. I guess the weekday rates are $20 lower than weekend compared to what I just posted for my 7/8-7/11 reservation. Cheers, GT
  3. Tried a few bids starting at $100, ended up for $115 for 4* Le Meridien 7/8-7/11 in Vienna. I saw previous postings of $125+ for Bristol but I felt extra $10 savings was worth just taking a 4*. Thoughts of comparing between the Le Meridien vs. the Bristol? GT
  4. It's Millennium broadway. I tried to edit my prev post but it didn't show up. Never stayed in this hotel ... what's the feedback been? I hope I get a good view of Times Sq!
  5. Thanks for the advice. I just managed to bid successfully for $120 for 3.5+ in MTE,MTW,TS and got Milennium Hotel at TS from 5/13-5/15. I may try to extend my stay if the hotel is nice. GT
  6. I may have to crash with a buddy which is not ideal given I have 2 interviews on those days. Any help would be appreciated. Gilbert
  7. I've tried both 2 nite and 3 nite stay. MTE, MTW, central park south, TS, madison sq, chelsea, SOHO. I don't want to pay higher than $110. Is that realistic?
  8. Hi everyone, I'm new here and have been reading the NYC hotel list and bidding strategy. With $105 I've selected almost all central manhattan and 3.5+ hotels and still no luck. Any suggestions? I can check out on 5/15 if i can get a deal. My max bid is $110. Thanks! GT
