  8. I see. 'cause someone else on this forum said with a 95% positive review it's likely the Westin Galleria. Thanks, GT

  11. Went through your PRICELINE link here to bid for Toronto (Downtown South) 4* Started with Toronto (Downtown South): $60: rejected Added Brampton: $62: rejected Added Burlington: $65: rejected Added Mississauga: $67: rejected Added Oakville: $70: rejected Added Scarborough: $72: rejected Added Toronto West: $75: rejected Added Toronto East: $77: rejected Added Vaughan: $80: ACCEPTED (I thought it was a bit pricey actually, was hoping for $70 max) Got the Sheraton Centre downtown. I know this hotel very well (and others) and it's a great location. Just hope that I won't have the same negative experience as the previous bloggers about the double-bed issue. I'm a Starwood Gold member so hope it'll help. Plan to call ahead to make a request for a KING bed!!! Thanks Betterbidding! GT
  12. There was no change in rate for priceline (used the icon link above) no matter how I played with the dates, but I did follow your advice and tried hotwire using the icon link above on your site. Decided to go for 2/27-3/2 with a sale price of $22.95 per day for economy car, total $107.07 including taxes and fees, a savings of 58% their claimed! Ended up with Economy car under Hertz. Will try to see if they can let me extend for another day and how much that'll be when I arrive, or I'll just keep checking for last minute rates for 3/2-3/3. Thanks! GT
  13. BTW, I don't care for the car size, just want to spend the least on the rental. I've gone up to $25 now for a compact size. Looks like the published rates $57 upward which IMO is too high. Thank you, GT
  14. Hi everyone, Tried $15 going up to $20 for economy, compact, mid-size cars for PHX 2/27-3/3. Any suggestions? Is there a particular day of the week that I should bid? Should I do it last minute? I used to do the last minute National deals and they're great ($20/day) but they don't have any for Arizona right now. Appreciate your help. GT
  15. Posting from previous thread. Got it on HOTWIRE via this site. What a bargain compared to other 5* resort/hotel rates! Read very positive reviews about this property as well. I'm attending a medical conference at the Phoenician so will have a little drive over but can't complain given I say >$150-200 compared to other properties. Plan to PRICELINE my car rental. GT
  16. You're correct! Just booked on HOTWIRE via your site and got the Intercontinental Montelucia, 2/27-3/3, $119 per night, which is absolutely a steal! That place, Royal Palms and Phoenician were all charging $300 a night!!! Thx very much. GT
  17. I've replied to my Edmonton thread. I wasn't able to secure a hotel there via PRICELINE so just booked it off the Westin's own site. Thx, GT
  18. I wasn't able to secure anything so I decided to book the Westin on their website directly. Thx. GT
  19. Staying 2/28-3/2, 5* Scottsdale hotel, $119USD per person. Amenities (with popup window): Resort Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services I know this is not the Phoenician since it doesn't have kids play facility. Would appreciate help in ID'ing this place. Thx! GT
  20. Went through the PRICELINE link here to get a 4* OC at Newport/Huntington. No problem with 1st bid at $50 and got the Hyatt Newport Beach. I wonder why it's so easy to get that hotel, with a big difference vs. advertised rate. I've stayed at that hotel and it's quite nice! Hopefully as Gold member I can upgrade to a nice view with balcony. Thx!
  21. Hi everyone, would appreciate someone help me suggest a bidding strategy for Edmonton, 10/23-10/27. 4* (e.g. Westin, Marriott, Fairmont). I've tried the re-bidding with different zones and no luck. I started at $60 and went all the way up to $130 and still no luck. I'm willing to go up to $150 per night. Thank you, GT
  22. Thanks for all your help. I used your suggestions and got the bid at a great price. 4* Hyatt Regency, 9/19-9/20/2009, via PRICELINE.com link shown above. Started $60, Loop: rejected Added Lincoln Park, $65: rejected Added Skokie, $70: rejected Added Ohare South, $75: rejected but got offered add $22 to rebid, declined Added Midway, $80: accepted Regards, GT
  23. I would say $100-$120 max for 4* in that neighborhood. Thanks for the help, GT
