  3. Thanks for the prompt reply Aaron.  Rooms are indeed pretty high compared to usual for those dates. Not really sure why. No Bears game or anything like that as far as I can tell. I've stayed at that hotel before and it was very good. My wife prefers a suite if possible. Would the room with the King and Sofa Bed be a suite? As far as suggestions I'd be interested in anything with a king bed and normal amenities in or near the Mag Mile.

    Regards

Would likely be the Doubletree Mag Mile.

Unfortunately, rates are high for these dates. I'm very familiar with the area - if you let me know what you're looking for and desired budget I'd be happy to offer suggestions.

  8. Do you have  a list of hotels in Chicago that charge resort fees and how much those fees are?

Just a note related to my original post in this thread and the reason I asked about resort fees..

Hotwire lists a 4 star 95% recomended hotel for $88.00 a night but it shows that "This hotel charges a resort fee of about $4.95 per room per night"

It also shows that the last person who booked this listing  got the Whitehall Hotel

  9. Currently showing a 4.5 Mag Mile North-Water Tower  star hotel with what appears to be the same amenities as you listed for the Thompson  going for $99.00 a night but with the order of the amenities going like this. Is this likely the Thompson?

FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access

A king bed is much preferred by me and it appears that the standard room at the Thompson is likely to be a king bed.

  10. I was hoping that was a  match for the Doubletree as I have stayed there before and really liked it.

The Thompson appears to have gone away for now but I will look for it and hope it comes back as that would be a better fit for me than the Holiday inn. If I need further help I will come back to this thread and when I book this itinerary I will use your HOTWIRE link and post the result here.

  11. There is a 3.5 star rated property currently going for $111.00 a night  for the dates Mar. 14-17 2015 in Mag Mile -River North area with the following amenities .

Can you give me your best guess which hotel this is please?

  13. Just booked a basic suite at Signature at MGM Grand (East of Strip)through Hotwire for 96.00 a night plus tax for Tuesday 11-5 leaving Saturday 11-9. No avoiding the resort fees and such but that's a very good rate for anyone looking to be in Las Vegas during this very busy convention time of the year. I may have threads in this site I did not follow up so I hope this makes up for that a little bit.

  14. Try ORBITZ5.

BRIGHT11 may work for $10 off via Expedia, although I believe that's for more than 1 night.

Thank you for using the site's Expedia, Orbitz, PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.

Thanks Aaron. Booked Staybridge Suites for the Jackson trip at a rate of 72.90 plus tax after discount. I am getting ready to book the Chicago trip for the dates 09/17-09/20. Hotwire doesn't have anything that looks good at present so I am planning on using your Expedia link to book Hotel 71. Is BRIGHT11 still the code I should try to save off Expedia?
