  1. Hi, we're looking at this option for Dec. 6 to 15th. $129.62 cdn with the following amenities: Do you know which ones it might be? Thanks!

    Beachfront Property

Property is located on the beach.

    Smoke Free Rooms

Guest rooms at this hotel are always smoke-free.

    Fitness Center

Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply.

    Pool(s)

Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal.

    Laundry Facilities (self-service)

<amenity names only please... not descriptions>

    Tennis Nearby

Property is located within walking distance or a short drive of at least one tennis court; an extra charge typically applies.

    Kitchenette

Accommodations include a stovetop or microwave oven, a sink and a mini-refrigerator.

    Condo

Condos are typically larger than a hotel room. Most condos offer separate sleeping and living areas and a full kitchen or kitchenette.

  2. Thank you for the follow-up.

Unfortunately, with PRICELINE or HOTWIRE there is no way to guarantee a particular property (especially with PRICELINE.)

Resort fees are unfortunately common at many Las Vegas properties and vary from property-to-property.

If you are looking at Strip North and Strip South (not Strip North Vicinity, just North & South), I'd try a bid at $95 for a 5* in either of those zones. However, I think that will likely end up being too lowball an offer and a higher bid (possibly a bit over $100) will end up being required, unfortunately.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Thank you very much! I'll keep you posted.

  3. Good evening! :)

Please provide a follow-up for your prior NYC Priceline thread (post in that thread what you decided for that stay.) Then reply to this thread and we would be happy to look into the above question.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Hi! I didn't post to the prior trip because I wound up at a BnB and didn't use Hotwire or Priceline that time. This time it seems like Priceline would be a better idea. Not too many bnb's in Las Vegas! Cheers!

  4. I've been looking for a suitable hotel to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday in Vegas.

I'd like to surprise him with a 4/ 5 star property on the Strip since this is the first time either of us has been there. On the Strip South for April 15 to 19th, I'd like to try for the MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay. On the Strip North It looks like any of the 5 star properties would be great. We won't have a car so we would like to be within walking distance of everything. Price range is up to 100 per night as I hear there are resort fees that we will have to pay in addition to our bid. Is that information correct? Of course I'd like to start a little lower than that!

Would you please advise me on a bidding strategy?

    Thank you!!

  5. Thanks for your patience. I was thinking of the zones as numbers not areas. So after thinking this over a bit, I could stay in any of the following areas CPS, CA, ESB, TS, MSG, MTW and star rating 2.5* and maximum bid $90 plus tax. I'm planning on going to MoMA and a couple of plays but I can get around on the subway with no problem. I know New York is pretty safe, but I've only stayed around Times Square in the past, so if I've picked any dodgy areas for a single gal, please let me know. Thank you very much - I really appreciate your help and this great site.

  6. Hi,

We got the Millenium for $139 last year in May. It was my first bidding experience. This year I'm heading out solo, and I was hoping to get a similar win to the Holiday Inn Chelsea for $88 listed previously. I'm not sure what zone it is, or how to bid for a similar hotel (zones, prices, etc.) I'll be in NY April 22 to April 27 and I don't want to stay somewhere unsafe or run down at a 2.5* level. Thank you for your help.

  7. Hi,

We did get the Millenium for $139 last year in May. It was in a good location and the staff were friendly. It was my first PRICELINE bidding experience.

This year I'm going solo, so I was happy to see the win for $88 at the Holiday Inn Chelsea. I'm staying from April 22 to April 26 and I'd like to bid, but I'm a newbie and don't know what zone it is in, or if that is my only option for a reasonable 2.5*. I don't want to wind up with a place with bugs or in a bad location.

Thanks for your help. P.S. I don't know how to bump messages to the top.
