What Hotel.

First bid. Thought I was going to be low because the lowest price for a 3* on Hotwire for a hotel was $74 and on Priceline is $114 (regular site).
I was bidding on a 3* after working down from 4* and 3.5*.
Used PRICELINE link on page. Thanks
Finally got a room for the weekend. Tried many, many days and this is the most I bid. Did not necessarily want this hotel, but it will do.
I was thinking the taxes and fees were set for a certain area/place. I will have to keep an eye on that in the future. Thanks
Although I would like to pay a little less, I did look into it and I did not see that deal on hotwire. I will start looking at HOTWIRE a little more though. Thanks.
I would like to get under $100, but I will spend what I have to since I have to go to my daughter graduation.
I have been bidding these areas over the last week and the prices seem higher than I would have thought.
I have bid as high as $95 for downtown and the french quarter for as low as a 3*. My last was a bid for $90 for a 2.5* downtown.
I am not sure why the prices are high, I know Tulane is graduating that weekend, but I would not think that would affect it that much.
I prefer a downtown hotel 3* or above, but could settle for a 2.5*. I could also go to the FQ or Warehouse if necessary.
Thanks
for 4/18 4:30pm to 4/22 11am.
I looked at Hotwire though your link and the price was $7.95/day, which is an excellent price, but with taxes and fees it is $64.80.
I looked at an $8 bid on Priceline and the total is only $47. Why are the fees and taxes so much more on Hotwire and should that be taken into account when bidding for a car on Priceline.
Thanks
There were many areas that I did not mind staying in, although I preferred downtown. I only had 2 days to bid since we were given tickets to the concert for Friday on Wednesday. Since I could drive home instead of staying I did not want to pay a lot and I ended up paying more than I wanted. Apparently, it was a busy Friday night in Nashville. I think the hotel is for Cool Springs, but I think Franklin was selected also. I went through a lot of tries, starting with a downtown 4* and using the better bidding strategy of adding regions that do not have the hotel star level. I started at a price of $70.
The bid that I won I had Opryland as my main area and had added many areas including areas with 3* that I did not mind staying in, including Cool Springs. Opryland was the last area in which I would stay, so I was in my last bidding round on Friday morning. Thanks for the help and I used your link.
The Courtyard By Marriott was a very nice and clean hotel in a good location for us.
My bidding went from these main areas Nashville Downtown, Brentwood, and now Cool Spring, Franklin, Opryland. I used the other areas that did not have the star level as needed.
Here is my hotel maximum * list.
1 Antioch - Smyrna – 2.5
2 Bellevue – 1
3 Brentwood – 3
4 Cool Springs – 3.5
5 Downtown - Vanderbilt - Metrocenter – 4
6 Franklin – 2.5
7 Goodlettsville – 3
8 Hendersonville – 3
9 Nashville Airport East – 3.5
10 Nashville Airport West – 3.5
11 Nashville East – 2.5
12 North Nashville – xx
13 Opryland – 3
14 South Nashville – xx
15 West Nashville – 2.5
Residence Inn New Orleans Convention Center

Prices were high for the holiday weekend with a lot of hotels booked. Would have went another weekend, but only time others could go.
