I used PRICELINE and bid 40$ on 3.5 star south strip for 06/20-06/24 and it was rejected.
I searched around for promotions with the Harrah's group and found the following @ the Flamingo: June 20-24 (4 nights) Deluxe room + 2 free drinks at the pool bar for 179.00 total. (It's called the 'Get Wet for Less' promo).
Do you think I could get anything better than that with PRICELINE / HOTWIRE?
Thanks
Seb
If that's Excalibur, you might as well just join their mailing list and buy it directly on their website... it's cheaper than that!
Hi! Thanks for your answers! I will be looking into this today and tomorrow... After a few searches on Expedia for the Luxor and Monte Carlo, I found that I might not be saving that much after all!... and they will be adding 12-14 $ per night of resort fees on top of that..
I might use PRICELINE instead,
In either case, I'll let you know
Thanks
Seb
Sorry about that, I was missing spa services.. for both of them. They each have 9 amenities...
Please first follow-up with your prior Orlando Hotwire thread, then reply to this thread and we will be happy to look into the above listing.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Oops sorry :-S
This was in fact the Days Inn,... sorry about not following up :-S

Ahh okay thanks!
Hi! I won a 4* south strip with 60$ bid (I had 10$ bonus cash per night so the total was 70$/night). I got the Westin. Looks like it's a little off the strip like you said... but doesn't matter, I can live with that. I was shocked though to hear afterwards that they charge 16$/night as a resort fee!!!!!!!!! Seems outrageous after the reviews I read on this place. Do priceline customers have to pay that even though they had no clue before bidding?
Hi! Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately all the bids were rejected.... I'll try again tomorrow. If it doesn't work I might have to settle for a 3 star, because my vacation dates are approaching fast. If I settle for a 3 star, is there a way I could make sure I get Imperial palace?
Hi.. I just went to take a look on Expedia and I found that the difference between 3.5 and 4* seems quite big. Therefore I think 3.5 would be more reasonable. On Expedia, Harrah's and Luxor, both 3.5*, are listed at 79 & 83 respectively. Lets say I can manage to get 20% off retail price with priceline, it would come out to 64.80$ (avg.). So 65.00$/night max for a 5-night stay. Would that be resonable? Is 20% off reasonable? If I can't manage to get that, maybe I might as well pay full price and get to pick my own hotel :-S

Hi! Thanks for your answer! I don't mind if my hotel is slightly off the strip, as long as it's walking distance to the strip.
With reference to the ''Best Price Guarantee'', I don't know if anyone here has ever filed a claim for the Best Price Guarantee... but they didn't even honour it. I had booked Hooter's Casino Hotel for 5 nights (a 3*) in Las Vegas for 197$ total, found it on Expedia & Hooter's website for 178.00$ total. They refused to honour it because Hooter's charges 5.00$/day of resort fee, so 178.00 + 5$x5days = 203$... however, they couldn't confirm if my price with Priceline (197$ total) included the resort fee. Like the customer service representative informed me: ''Hooter's may or may not charge you for the resort fee... we don't know''. But you only have 24 hours to file the Best Price Guarantee claim... so that's a problem.
I ended up e-mailing upper management threatning to reverse the charges with Visa for false advertisement... and they called me at home the next day to tell me they were terribly sorry. Instead of adjusting the price, they cancelled everything and gave me a refund. I can't complain because I wasn't too happy with Hooter's... but let's just say, had I not e-mailed upper management, I would have been stuck overpaying for my hotel.
Hi guys, I have a 10$/night bonus with PRICELINE and I want to use it to book my hotel for my vacation at Las Vegas. I want to stay in a nice hotel ON the strip, hopefully something a little nicer than Imperial Palace, therefore atleast 3.5*. My dates are may 17th to may 22nd. How much should I bid? I don't mind if it's North or South Strip...
Thanks!

Hi everyone, I'd like to share a promotion the Flamingo is offering that's available directly on their website: it's called the Get wet for less promotion and includes a deluxe room and two free drinks at the pool bar. They advertise the rooms at 45 $/ night but I booked one for 6/20 to 6/24 for even less (40 $/night). And on top of it, the Flamingo has no resort fees!

I was trying to find a 3.5 star north or south strip for around 40 $ a night using HOTWIRE and PRICELINE and never found anything (or the bids were denied). If anyone found anything better please let me know.
