tried a few other areas first in the $60 range. this was won on the first bid so should have started a few $$ lower :D used the Summer code on PL to save 5% looks like a good property based on Tripadvisor ratings.

Another one that was a pile of work. There isn't a lot of selection in south Portland so the 3* are expensive only one 3.5* which was sitting on Express Buy for $83 less 5% (coupon) started bidding at $50, worked up to $64 in $2 increments started again in Southwater front and added Lake Oswego in second, continued until $70 and then went up in $1 increments (heading to $75) Success at $72, website and Priceline $128, express buy $83 (less 5%) Have stayed at this property before, it is a good hotel. $72 $12.47 fees $84.47 total

Lots of work for this one. two days of bidding and used all the zones. started mid 40s. Got this on the last bid 4 x $55 for rooms 4 x $10.36 ($43.44) for fees 4 x -$2.25 (-$11.00) coupon Total 4 @ $63.11 ($252.44)

Started out checking the forums but not a lot of hits for Niagara Falls. Got a starting bid dialed in using Priceline Express Buy ($72) and Expedia.ca Unpublished Rate (Hotwire) at $86 for 4* Started at $60, got a "buy now" for $72 You get 5 bids using the other zones (only the Falls have a 4* property), so did two $3 bumps and got the hit at $66 on the way to $72... With taxes and fees of $18.65 this is a $84.65 all in for a 4* on the Falls Happy days!! (used Betterbidding PRICELINE link to start bidding of course :D)

Started Downtown at $75 (counter offer from Priceline at $101 so knew we were in the hunt) and ran up to $84 started again with Granville and got this one at $84 on the first bid. Good win but gotta say i hate hitting it first time. how much did we leave on the table?? :D

Weighing in on our stay at the Listel: IMO this is a four star hotel. they have done a bunch of improvements over the last year. i actually did a review (first one) on Priceline. server = great, restaurant = great (going down for renovations soon). so far after doing all the bookings i have done, i have not been upset about any of the ratings. HTH t

Started at $80, immediate counter at $103 - declined went up by 2s and 3s until the bid was won on the last attempt this was about as high as i was going to go. The hotel is posted on the regular site at $105 so not much of a savings - 12% - but seems like not a lot of low bids being accepted in Vancouver right now. better than a kick in the junk :) $92 x 2 = $184 $37.92 tax $221.92 total

I stayed there for 5 nights a week or so ago. Great place although a little slow (one of the bars was closed). The staff treated us very well considering the win on Priceline. They charged the $15 resort fee and dropped the parking to $10 the first night. The last two nights though the fellow at checkout said "i know that it says on Priceline that there are no charges for the resort fee" and he waived the resort fee. (the parking charge got lost somewhere along the way when i switched rooms??). anyway - not sure if you will have the same experience but i am sure you will enjoy the stay - nice win at a nice property!!

Started at $62, went up in $2 increments. noticed that a new White Rock zone has been added and North Van has a 4* so had to change the bidding zones a little. taxes $18.52

Started at $60 and went up in $2 increments. lots of opportunity to rebid in San Diego with 13 zones under 4* start a second search with downtown and add (Coastal) back in 2nd to get another 13 tries :)

And a couple more days...

Needed another night in San Diego and was able to get another block of rooms at Paradise Point. Best price from the resort was $190. Nice!
