Got the 3 star for a bid of $59.  Got rejected at $55 a  couple days ago.  You were right it turned out to be the knotts berry farm resort.  I shouldn't have to pay for parking at knotts berry farm so I saved another $14.  thanks so much.

any ideas?  It looks like price line also has express deals on 3 stars for the same price.  could be the same hotel?

I got a 2 * for $34 plus tax for aug. 17th. I got it on the first bid so maybe could have gone lower.

The hotel is the candlewood suites.

we have our flights booked and am thinking about using PRICELINE or HOTWIRE to get a hotel. I'm hoping the swine flu is not an issue in August. Which hotel do you thing hotwire listed for us? 2 adults, 2 children? $61

I did use hotwire for 2 adults and 2 children.

I did see your list of hotwire hotels. It's a very extensive list and it's dated from a post from 2003 so I wasn't sure it was current.
