  1. Actually, I was totally flabbergasted, as I was just toying (after all, September is pretty far away still ...) I started with 1 area and 90 $ went up to 91 and 92 and my fourth and last bid for tonight, including all acceptable areas and 95$ (3* and up ...) got this win A bit further from town then I would have chosen, but the subway will get me there. Website and booking sites prices start at 233$, so I'm quite pleased with that :)
  2. Thanks! I am very much looking forward to spring and my extended stay in the Big Apple... :D
  3. After trying prices around 100$ for ages, 3* and up, I decided to up my bidding for my first night in NYC I'll probably be staying in the Brandon Residence (UWE, great nabe!) the rest of my 2.5 week stay, but as the reception closes at 5PM (it's not a hotel, after all) I figured I'd treat myself to a nice hotel to recharge my batteries after a long flight. and so, I won the Mansfield Hotel for 150$ (189$ all in) and am very happy with it. Not overly luxurious, but in a great location, as I love Bryant Park.... :) and, last but not least, wifi is included... bidding this evening: 100 - 102 - 110 - 120 then I checked winning prices and went straight to 150$
  4. April 29th, 1 night, 1 person (going to see the White Sox...longstanding dream) 75 euro excl, 90 euro, which should equal about 120$ no Wifi included, but as it's only for one night, I'll be leaving my laptop in NYC, no biggie Very happy about staying in a posh hotel... Confirmation doesn't state the kind of room, though, nor wether breakfast is included or not ....
  5. Will do, and no, I'm not disappointed, esp after checking tripadvisor!! Way nicer than the sort of hotel I usually end up in... :D
  6. LOL, I thought I'd follow in your footsteps, but mine turned out to be the Allerton Hotel <_< , about 120$ all in (I'm quoted in euros) well, a little more than my booking at the Days Inn, but a far better hood, I think...I'm now going to check tripadvisor... still happy about it, even though it's nowhere near as nice as The Drake... :D
  7. Hi, I'm new to this forum and I don't know if I shoul be posting this question here... But I understand EasyClickTravel.com is/used to be part of bedderbidding? They have some amazing offers on hotels, like the Pod Hotel in NY. a bit too good to be true :) Are they dependable, does anyone here know? Thanks in advance, katafei
