  1. I am becoming an expert, or at least familiar with the rebid zones. Made index cards with each zone and what there star level was. What do you guys think about more risky rebids if your not stuck on a certain area and would just prefer another area. For example if you know that in South Beach most hotels are more than $70 so you use it to bid downtown for prices under that. I know it is more risky but hey were gamblers. What about taking some calculated risk for a good deal. With 6 or 7 rebids better pricing should result. My thought if I got stuck in a 3 or 4 star South Beach hotel for $45 I would have won the lottery.
  2. The Hyatt everyone speaks of has several things to do around it. Parrot Jungle Island - only 2 miles away
  3. No, Deerfield Beach is for after my cruise. There may be five in SB, I can not figure them all out. The South Beach hotel is a stop over between crusies. Are there any 4 or 5 star avails in Palm Beach on Priceline.
  4. Can someone help me with the four rebid zones for South Beach 4 Star :) Don't have a big preferance for a hotel, just would like to stay in South Beach. I am familiar, I lived their 10 years ago. Would prefer something nice but am flexible.
  5. 3 or 4 star hotel is what I am looking for. I believe I am understanding the rebid stuff. :) I will go for it tonight. Plus I also am going to need a another Miami hotel, so I may try to rebook the hyatt at the $34...
  6. Yes, my bid was excepted at $38 plus taxes. Total was $47.90 after the taxes. Can not remember what they told me before I bid. Sorry.... Apologize for my excitement, but what a deal.
  7. After cruise I need to stay close to West Palm. Deerfield, ect... Need price idea where to start.
  8. :) I just made my first successful bid on priceline. You guys rock! Started with 3* downtown miami, May 31st 2003 for one night..Pre cruise stay.. $27 turned down. Did not quite understand the rebid stuff, but I had read that South Beach never goes for under $80 or something, so I added South Beach and bid $38, not $34 because I read a couple of unsuccessful bids or something$38 in the Hyatt. Wow! :o Wow! That like winning the lottery. The standard price on Travelocity is $129 ***$140 on the Hyatt site. Can I say thank you again. If you can, expalin the rebid, are you talking about when they send you the e-mail or doing just what I did. Cause they would not simply let me rebid with a differant price. I had to ad something. Can you say !!! I saved a hundred dollars :) :) :D I so excited. I just love geting a great deal.
