We stayed there August 8th.
Our room was HUGE in this old but still very nice hotel. Bathroom was HUGE also. Parking was free. We had a room in the tower on 7th floor. We felt a little underdressed and ratty schlepping our cooler and crate of food through this hotel that seemed to have a lot of business/dressed up people (we are on a road trip). Didn't get to try out the pool or anything else, but for $64 (51+ tax), it was a great deal.

Got this for $31 for August 9th. Hotel is in slightly dodgy neighborhood and lobby smells like smoke due to attached casino, but room is plenty nice. Could consider also Sands hotel that has $27/night rooms by reserving on line (non-bidding option). Not fancy, but clean and fine, I was there last year.
I stayed at cathedral hill on April 13th for $54 booked via hotwire. Parking was $22 per 24 hours with unlimited in and out. On Hotwire it was listed as Japantown, 2.5 stars, amenities business center and internet only. There is a pool and other things as well, not sure why everything isn't listed. It was perfect, plenty nice (sure, it is a little worn) and great price. We got a room facing the inside courtyard just by asking no extra cost, it was quiet.
