Thank you for your assistance - you were 100% correct. I used your HOTWIRE link.
While I normally wait until the last minute to bid for a hotel, if the Yankees win and progress to the World Series, more demand may occur for hotels in NYC the weekend of 10/27.
I will appreciate your best estimate of the hotel name - I love the 95% customer recommendation, but the 3.5 star TripAdvisor rating is concerning. Thank you in advance!

Thank you, I used your Hotwire link and it was indeed the W Hotel for $105.
Much appreciated!
Thank you - I plan on booking tomorrow (Friday) and will use your HOTWIRE link as well as report back.
Hello,
Hotwire is showing a 4.5 Star boutique hotel in New York's Financial District for $109 on Saturday, February 28.
Must be a new hotel - "still gathering reviews" - and not on BB's Hotwire list.
Thank you for your help - you provide a very valuable resource and it is much appreciated.
I recently stayed at the Westbridge - rating it 5 stars is just plain delusional. Most definitely not a star hotel!
Very happy - retail rate is $249 for this excellent hotel.
Used the Betterbidding PRICELINE link.
Many thanks (10X).
Thank you for the reply - I will post my specific dates on another thread, as you suggested.
I am definitely intrigued with the possibility of getting such an awesome hotel (the Beverly Hills Hotel) at such a great rate. One last question on this thread - if you will permit - couldn't this hotel (the 5 star boutique et al) just as easily be the Mosaic? Thank you.
Just out of curiosity - since it does not seem to have been previously reported nor is on the Hotwire list, how did you surmise that this is for the Beverly Hills Hotel? While I have never stayed, this appears to be a fantastic hotel!
Thank you.
Thanks and I apologize for not posting in a manner that was more beneficial to the board...we all aprpeciate this resource.
I do have a follow-up question to your response. In watching Hotwire today, I've noticed that they have a $249 listing for a hotel with the same attributes - the only difference is that sometimes it says "90% approval rate" and other times it says "Still gathering information." In your experience, do you think these are the same hotels?
Many thanks for the information on this site.
Yesterday I purchased a 4* hotel for $189 in Times Square (restaurant, business center, gym, high speed internet, and 90% customer approval rating) for 11/13 - used your link. Based on the Hotwire hotel info, since it was not a "customer favorite," I narrowed it to the Intercontinental. Unfortunately, I received the Millenium Broadway (which is an AAA 3 star hotel and rated 3.5* by Priceline)....bummer.
I am looking to book another hotel on 11/13. Hotwire has a similar 4* hotel (restaurant, business center, gym, high speed internet, and here's the difference, it states: "We are still gathering reviews for this proprty") and the price is $249.
Here are my two questions, regarding the statement that "We are still gathering reviews for this property":
1. Since this rating statement is different than the rating statement for the Millenium Broadway (90% customer approval), is it pretty certain that the $249 hotel is NOT the Millenium Broadway?
2. Since the Intercontinental just opened up last summer, do you think that this $249 Hotwire hotel is the Intercontinental (since Hotwire is still gathering reviews).
Thanks again.
Any update on this 4.5* hotel in the Boston Common/Theater District.
Do you think that perhaps it is the Taj Hotel? The Taj is coming up as a 5* on Priceline.
My reasoning is as follows, Priceline just started offering a 5* hotel (which we've recently identified as The Taj) and by coincidence, Hotwire if offering a 4.5* in this same area. The Taj is a great hotel but imho not in the same category as true 5* hotels such ashe Four Seasons and The Ritz.
Thanks.
Thank you for your research, I really do appreciate it.
A few notes:
A. We do have a reported win of the 5* Taj in Boston.
B. There are several 5* hotels in Las Vegas.
Getting a 5* at 50% off is truly a delicious deal! Thanks again.
Good evening. Thank you for offering such a great board.
I was pleased to see the great deal that the 5* Taj (former Ritz Carlton - in fact, first RC in the US) is offerring.
If it is not too much work, could you tell me what other major cities are offering 5 star options.
Many thanks!
