1. Thanks for all your help with this, unfortunately after much arguing it's been decided (by everyone else....) that we'll not be making the one night stop in Toronto after all. We're staying elsewhere that night and I booked on the Radisson website as I paid part points and part cash for the room.
2. ok so using the instructions above, the amenities for the 4* $84 DT East are Condo, Pet friendly, Suite, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible path of travel and the amenities for the 4* $120 DT West are Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
3. OK, so after saying that I specifically wanted the area closest to the CN Tower I'm now considering the area next to it! Only because there's a bargain there! Both Hotwire. So it's a 4 star hotel in Downtown Toronto East $84 per night (claims to be from $178) 95% recommended Condo, Pet friendly, Suite, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access. Now for some reason this doesn't actually appear when I search through the better bidding link? Only when I just open Hotwire myself. I'm guessing at Pantages or Cambridge Suites? But I'd prefer One King West as it's closer to the CN Tower. The other option is I think the same one listed by thereuare above. It's a 4 star hotel in Downtown Toronto West $120 per night (claims to be from $192) 90% recommended Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom. Would this still be the same guess as above - either the Intercontinental or the Hyatt Regency? I'm torn between choosing the 'West' and getting the better location for our needs, or choosing the 'East' bargain and walking further (keeping my fingers crossed that it's not too far away!).

5. Back again with a quick question. I need 2 rooms, 2 adults in each room. Do I search for 2 rooms / 4 adults? Or will that mean that they think I will have 4 adults in each room?
6. wow, thanks for the very detailed reply thereuare! Both of those fit my budget, I'll go up to $150 per room per night (before taxes and fees), but obviously if we can get lower then that's better! Will be booking over the next day or so, just need to sort out the surrounding nights and where we'll be, and also maybe try and convince my husband to go for two nights in Toronto rather than just the one! Will come back either for help id'ing hotels or just to update with what we book. Thanks again, europe-chick
7. Hi, I need a hotel in Toronto for just one night, specifically to have dinner at 360 at the CN Tower. Would I be best to choose Downtown Toronto East or West to try and get a hotel as close as possible (we'll be walking to the tower and back) to the CN Tower. Looking at the HOTWIRE map it looks like Downtown Toronto West would be my best bet. Does this sound right? Last year I booked with Priceline Express, Downtown Southeast, and got Pantages Hotel. It was a bit of a hike to the CN Tower but certainly doable - especially the walk back to work off some of our meal! However this year we're travelling with my husbands elderly parents and so want to try and land lucky with a hotel much closer to the CN Tower so that the walk isn't as long. So after my long ramble and backstory it's just as simple as the question in the title! Other info if you need/want it. Monday October 10th for 1 night. 2 rooms needed. 2 adults per room. Many Thanks, europe-chick
8. Thanks again. I didn't take the chance in the end and booked a hotel (on the hotels own website) that definitely has free parking. Thanks again for the help though.
9. Thanks, to be honest I'm not really bothered which hotel it is, it just specifically has to have the free parking. So if it didn't how would I stand with Hotwire. It's just not really typical to get free parking in the city, so I'm dubious about the listing that's all.
10. Hi, I thought I'd give Hotwire a go for a hotel in Tallinn. My only requirement is that the hotel must have free parking. I've narrowed the list down by choosing the free parking option from the list of amenities. 3 results. If I 'win' the hotel that the last person supposedly got then that hotel doesn't actually offer free parking. How do I stand here? I chose the hotel purely based on the fact that it comes with free parking. Maybe the hotel would honor it? Long shot and we wouldn't know til check-in I guess? Do Hotwire typically refund in a case like this as they've sold it to me with an amenity that it doesn't have? Or would they maybe refund my out of pocket expenses to pay for overnight parking? Thanks in advance for any help with this europe-chick
11. Dumb blonde question?? How do I find out what they were before my purchase?? I'm fairly sure they were the amenities listed in my original question, so; Pets Allowed Restaurant Fitness Center Free Internet Business Center I thought, and the reply to my question also thought that it'd be the Omni King Edward with these amenities. I booked, with fingers crossed, hoping for the Omni King Edward. If the amenities had changed from the above list I'd have probably had second thoughts about booking, I'd have probably checked again as to what it was likely to be. So I guess after the long waffle, I'm pretty sure it was the amenities I've listed above. europe-chick
12. Ended up getting Pantages. Which I really, really did not want it to be! Oh well, I did know this could happen and I took the chance. My hubby is less bothered than me as he's not fussed about the hotel itself, just the price! I guess I really shouldn't complain for the price I paid. Amenities listed were: Free Internet Pet Friendly Spa Non-Smoking Gym Restaurant Business Center I clicked though your links to book. Thanks again for the help. europe-chick
13. Thanks. Was kinda hoping one of them may be the Westin Harbour Castle! I probably knew it wouldn't be from the descriptions, but if one had of looked like it may be I'd have taken a chance! It's $274 CAD per night on their own website, which is out of our budget. I'll mull over the HW/PL options and will post back when I've booked.
14. Hi, Looking for some help. I'm looking for a hotel in Toronto for 2 nights - June 4th & 5th, max budget is $200 per night (before taxes and fees) but I'd like it to come in nearer to $150 per night if poss (again before taxes and fees). Ideally 5 star, or 4 1/2 star, 4 star is the lowest I'd want. I'd also only want one of the 3 downtown areas. I'm interested in the following on Priceline Express, i'm just after some help to id them. 5* Downtown Toronto Southwest $181 per night Indoor or Outdoor Pool Pets Allowed Restaurant Fitness Center Free Internet Business Center My guess would be the Shangri-la ?? 4* Downtown Toronto Southwest $135 per night Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Business Center I have no idea for this one ?? 4* Downtown Toronto Southeast $118 per night Pets Allowed Restaurant Fitness Center Free Internet Business Center My guess would be the Omni King Edward ?? 4* Downtown Toronto North $129 per night Pets Allowed Restaurant Fitness Center Business Center I have no idea for this one ?? There's also 4* Downtown Toronto West listed at $129 per night, claiming to be 41% off from $220, but no amenities listed?? With no amenities listed to narrow it down this may be too much of a gamble?? I clicked through the bidding helper link. And I've clicked on the PL & HOTWIRE links. 16. Amenities listed are: Airport shuttle Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Self-service laundry Internet access Accessibility Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower
17. I've just booked, but I booked a Hotwire deal. Should I add it to this thread, or add it over in the Hotwire Los Angeles thread
18. Thanks. I wouldn't go less than a 3 star, ideally I'd want a 4 or a 3 1/2. Maybe I best not try just in case it doesn't! Thanks for your very quick reply. I'll update the thread once I've gone ahead and booked.
19. Hi, Thinking of bidding on an LAX airport hotel on Priceline, hoping to get something cheaper than I'm currently seeing on Hotwire and Priceline Express (I clicked through your bidding helper above). I do specifically need it to have an airport shuttle though, do all of the LAX hotels typically have this amenity? I don't want to bid and find that I win something without a shuttle! If it matters it's Dec 16th for 1 night, and I'll need 2 rooms. Many Thanks europe-chick
20. Booked 2 rooms for the one night July 1st South Burlington amenities listed are: Free Breakfast Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Business Center Fitness Center I clicked through your PRICELINE link above, and I also used SUMMER14 for an extra 5% off the price. The $94 per room is before the 5% off.
21. one bid only of $80. I may have got it for less - I'll never know though!! I also used the 7% off code on your website, so saved another $11.20 off the 2 rooms. I clicked through your PRICELINE link to book
22. Hi I may need to add another night to this booking. My confirmation e-mail seems to suggest that I can do this. Do you know if I add another night will I pay the price I paid for the first night, as I had a coupon, or will it be the price before the coupon was taken off? Many Thanks europe-chick
23. Booked 2 rooms for the one night June 30th South Burlington amenities listed are: Free Breakfast Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Business Center Fitness Center I clicked through your Priceline link above, and I also used the 15% off code that's on the site. The $97 per room is before the 15% off. Many Thanks for the code!
24. I did actually book 2 rooms, but in 2 separate transactions. By searching (purely by mistake) for 1 room I got a price of $101, but when I changed my search to be for 2 rooms the price changed to $111. I then searched again for 1 room and it still came up at $101, so I booked our second room as well. I know that this could have gone horribly wrong if I couldn't then get a second room, or if it was at a different hotel, but it all worked out. Phew!! So finally amenities are: Free Parking Free Internet Pet friendly Internet access In-room accessibility Handicapped parking I used your HOTWIRE link to book.
25. booked 2 rooms for 1 night June 25th 1st day bid 60 / 62 / 64 all rejected 2nd day bid 66 / 68 / 70 all rejected today decided to up the bids a bit as I also used the 7% off code - so bid 74 rejected - then 78 which was accepted and I won the Ramada Provincial Inn. so I guess the rooms work out at 73 if I take the 7% off into account. I'm happy enough with that. I was kinda hoping to win the Holiday Inn Express, but I guess it wasn't meant to be, I'm fine with the hotel we won though. I did use your PRICELINE link to bid. thanks
