3.5* $90 fitness centre; pool; restaurant; business ctr; hi speed internet access recommended in 70% of hotwire customers

We are looking specifically downtown - actually looking to be close to the Metropolis Club...I know it is never a guarrantee but wondering if there are some possibilites in these choices?

    thank you!

  6. we ended up going through Expedia rather than taking the risk with HOTWIRE in a city we're not that familiar with! I tried to go through your "support" area but Expedia.ca doesn't show up - and the prices are a little different.

thanks for all your help, we will be going back to Montreal and now that we know which area/hotel we would like to be in will probably use HOTWIRE.

  7. one more thing...I am searching 2 adults and 2 children....maybe that is why you couldn't see it?

there is now a 3 1/2 star showing as well 70% recommended with the following amenities:

fitness ctr; swimming pool; restaurant;business ctr; high speed; spa; childrens activities

    thanks

  8. we ended up booking through the Sheraton site directly as we were already there for the next 3 nights.

If I remember correctly the amenities showing when we booked the Sheraton through Hotwire were:

swimming, restaurant, business ctr, high speed, spa

    trip advisor 4/5

keeping in mind this was August 2009

As info, we have been able to book the Sheraton several times through Hotwire and usually for between $75 and $90 a night. Excellent value!

  9. we are looking at a stay starting 03/18 or 03/19 to 03/21 and the same offer comes up on Hotwire.

It is $119 per night, and the amenities are: fitness centre, restaurant, business ctr, high speed internet

it is "recommended in 80% of reviews"

    any guesses?

    thank you

  10. Assuming you booked this previous leg of your stay on HOTWIRE can you please share the details of your win with the board as a NEW TOPIC so that others will be aware of your win when searching the topic titles of the board and when using the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins.

Then bump this thread and we'll have a look at the above.

Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (and read your messages)

I have posted my win - but "bump"? - how?

  11. as I mentioned we are booked into the Sheraton from Thurs night till Sat night - and now that we have decided to extend our stay, the "likely" Sheraton isn't showing up on HOTWIRE. I have tried the variables like 3 ad and 1 child or 4 ad etc..

Right now, for the 25th and 26th I can only see

3* in downtown west with smoke free; fitness centre, pool, restaurant, business ctr, high speed. $70/night. So I would like to get your best guess on that

4* in downtown west; fitness ctr; pool; restaurant; business ctr; high speed 3.5 TA

Ideally we would like to be at the Sheraton - but are open to others too

    thank you!

  12. You are probably best to stay (try to get) at the Sheraton Centre - it is opposite City Hall, is linked through the underground PATH system to the Eaton Centre, there is a standard mall Food Court about 3 minutes from the Hotel in the PATH. You can walk to the Skydome in around 10 to 15 mins, to the Eaton Centre in about 10 mins, Yonge St is also about 10mins. The hotel has a great indoor/outdoor pool, a business centre with free internet access (I think there is a time limit but it is reasonable). The only thing you would have to drive to would be the Science Centre, and even that you could do by public transit - it just might involve several changes and a bit of time. If you look at the board you will see that the Sheraton is almost always available through Hotwire, Toronto Downtown (West), it is often the 4* offered in the West area - and is usually identified by the 4.00 out of 5.00 Trip advisor.

The other option is the Downtown Toronto East offering (the 4 * that has the tennis court icon and spa) as that is usually the Westin Harbourcastle - it is right on the water and is a 1 min walk to the Toronto Island Ferries. The only downside to staying there is that you are about a 15 min walk to Union Stn (there is a streetcar that will link you to the TTC but it doesn't run that often especially on weekends.)

We have stayed at both several times through HOTWIRE, usually for between $70 and $90 a night - both do have parking charges (unfortunately normal for To.) of about $30 - 40 per day. We like both hotels for different reasons and would recommend either - the Sheraton though is easier to park your car and not use it till you leave!
