Also I see it has a tripadvisor rating of 4 out of 5. Anyone know if there is a resort fee as well? Here's a cut and paste of amenities. 7. Was in a big rush yesterday and did not notice that taxes and fees brought this charge to $101.47. Taxes and fees were $61.47. It was my own fault for not looking more closely before hitting "BUY." My rental of last month was also for 4 days, but at $17 per day instead of $10, and taxes and fees were only $30.40 (the total was $98.40). So I got hit with twice the taxes and fees for a bid that was almost half as much. I have called and spoken to 2 priceline employees and they offer me nothing except the warning to read more closely before hitting "Buy." They say the difference is based on the location and car rental company. In this case the location was the exact same building; National and Alamo are in the same building at O'hare. Apparently, Alamo slaps on twice the fees. I am not a happy person. Buyer beware, I guess.

  9. Total was $98.49 including taxes and fees. Sorry for delay posting.
  10. 3*Hoffman Estates Hilton Garden Inn $31 9/24-9/25/10. Started at $29 and used free rebids until hit $31.
  11. ORD Chicago Economy Alamo $10/day, 9/23/10-9/27/10, first bid.
  12. I'm still struggling to decide about this trip. I'm thinking of using Expedia or another to have more certaintly what hotel it is. Is there a hotel only coupon code for mid-November that would help? Thanks!
  13. Do you remember the unit number you had? Were you happy with it? Did you feel you were given the same quality of unit as everyone else? Thanks!
  14. Thanks. I meant to ask if I can earn (not use) priceline bonus cash via opaque (Name Your OWn Price) purchases, or if I Must purchase non-opaque travel to gain the bonus. Thanks again.
  15. I contacted Priceline and they said I had earned rewards, but they had expired. So I asked them to look up rewards I had earned so I could study them and have a better idea how to use them in the future. Note that my priceline profile says clearly that I have no rewards. This is how they responded: "We understand that you would like to know what types of rewards you had in your profile so that you can study how best to use them in the future. To view your priceline rewards, just sign into your priceline profile, select your rewards account and click on the name of the reward you would like to view." Do you see the circular nature of this exchange? I already said that the priceline profile says I have no rewards. That is the reason for the question! Is this a joke? Am I on a prank show? For the record, 1) How can I found out my history of rewards? 2) Are "Name your price" hotel and car rentals eligible for Bonus Cash? Thanks.

  17. I have read this several times from the Priceline explanation page: Who Can Register for priceline rewards
  18. SOrry, I think the dates I looked at were 11/15/10 to 11/16/10. ThANKS.

  20. Used the PRICELINE link at upper right. Started bidding at $59 and bid up by $1 increments until reached $85. Excellent hotel. Free parking. Resort fee and some taxes not included. Resort fee, some taxes, and cost of one bagel and milk were additional $42 after two nights.
  21. Is it possible to bid for a hotel room for another person? I have the person's name, credit card number, and permission. Thanks!
  22. Started bidding some days ago at $39, bid by one dollar increments, then 3 to 6 dollar increments until got win of $53 for Candlewood Suites, 2*, 3/27 to 3/28/10. Tried for 3* in Gateway to Island, up to $55 all failed. Tried for 2.5* in Gateway to Island, up to $59, all failed.
  23. I read the bidding strategy above for Alexandria, and followed the link that describes the bidding strategy in more detail. To me, the bidding strategy above is a little different from the that described in the link Priceline Re-Bidding Explained(which is the way I have been doing it). The bidding strategy above says: Select 3.5* Alexandria... Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $60, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE Select 3.5* Alexandria and re-bid zone2... Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $70 In effect, the strategy above says you can close browser and re-use the same free rebidding zones more than once (meaning the zone with 2 stars, and none above, purposely combined with the zone you really want that has 4 stars). That is, bo back to re-bidding zone 1 more than once. Is there a limit to the number of times you can close, re-open, and use free rebid in zone 1 within 24 hours? It seems like I have tried this accidentally (forgetting that I had already used that particular free rebid zone), even after closing browser and re-opening, and it told me it was not eligible for bidding again until 24 hours had passed. Can you clarify? Thanks!
  24. I see on your list that Loews Miami (South Beach) is designated as the only resort. Yet among priceline.com's 3 Miami South Beach Categories (Central, Collins, and Ocean Drive), there is no place to click for a resort. Can you help?
  25. First bid of $29 was rejected. $30 also rejected. $31 was accepted. Taxes/fees are $15.08 for both nights. Used the PRICELINE links on upper right corner of this website.
