  1. thank you for the reply, i didn't notice that on PRICELINE until after you mentioned it. on HOTWIRE, yes, i did select by filter "free drinks and food" and it did show me a few resorts that said all inclusive, however  does that actually mean i'll get the all inclusive deal if i select that resort? reason i ask, is because if i filter by "free premium drinks" it also lists me some resorts that are all inclusive (but i guess this all inclusive also includes premium drinks? whatever that means). so, do they have different tiers of all inclusive or how does that work?

our budget is up to 200 per night (so 100 per person), which on HOTWIRE i found a few that are well under that for all inclusive deals. the areas i'm trying to stay are not very specific either. as long as its not in punta mita which is quite far from the city itself.

  2. Hi there. Usually use Priceline to bid on hotels, but never on all inclusive resorts. Are those available through bidding on Priceline or do I have to go through Hotwire? I looked at hotwire and I can filter by Amenities and select "Free food and Drinks", does that mean all inclusive or could it be only breakfast? Any tips appreciated. Thank you!

Btw, i'm gong Nov 6-16, 2 adults. Thanks!

  3. got Crown Plaza for $67/night. Will park free in the neighborhood according to others' comments. Called them after the reservation to make sure I'll have a smoke free room. Was cut off in the middle of the sentence by a receptionist before I even told her what I was calling for. Put on hold. Then she picked up again and with very broken English asked what I wanted. I told her I needed to request a non-smoking room. She transferred me to reservations. Another woman picked up and I told her my story. She said that she won't be able to guarantee a non-smoking room until the day of my reservation and that I would have to call that morning to make sure.

In all my bookings with Priceline, I have never experienced a hotel staff that couldn't guarantee me a non-smoking room or anything else that I've asked for. Also, the incompetence and rudeness of the receptionist was a let down. Hopefully my stay there will be a lot better than my phone call.

  4. just make sure you don't use their valet parking. its $30 a day. park right across the street in the parking garage for $16. Omni actually valet the cars in the same parking garage. otherwise, good deal. i stayed there last weekend for $75 and the hotel is nice. they have a gym and a pool. also the drinks at the hotel bar are NOT expensive at all. my johnny walker on rocks was only $7 and the glass was not small either. good service too.

  5. Just booked (4/12/09 - 10:30pm) a 3 night stay on priceline at $75/night at Omni Hotel in Downtown. Looks like a nice hotel based on their website. Never been to San Diego so this should be sweet. The lowest I found on their site is for $179/night for the same dates. Oh, the dates I'm going are 4/16 - 4/19. Just wanted to share as a new member. My first deal on here. Thanks everyone.
