  1. Amenities: Resort, Suite, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access, Spa Services. I missed a ferry and got stranded on Vancouver Island with another couple. This was not in the list, but with amenities, great price, and 100% recommendation on Hotwire I took a chance anyway. This place was a STEAL! Lowest online price was $249 and I paid only $83. Suite was large with king bed, living room, 2 flat panel TV's, fireplaces, balcony, full kitchen, and even heated tile floors. Everything about this place was new, clean, and screamed luxury and quality. The lobby is gorgeous and the staff treated me excellently despite the ridiculous price I was paying for the one BR condo suite via hotwire. I would have been happy paying twice as much in BC, and still can't believe this place is on Hotwire with such distinctive amenities. If you are going to Vancouver Island you need to jump on this deal! I wish I was staying more than a night so I could have really enjoyed this place and the area. The three star rating is WAY low for this place, and must be a reflection of their lack of a full service restaurant on-site. Add this to your lists so that others may benefit. Used HOTWIRE link from Droid Phone.
  2. Amenities were Suite, Fitness Center, High Speed Internet Access, Kitchenette. Used HOTWIRE link, but was doing this from a droid phone so it took me to the mobile enabled site, hope you still get credit. Suite is the give away amenity in this area for three star. I wanted a spacious room to relax in, and this was PERFECT. Lowest price online was $149 so this was better than half off. hot breakfast including omelette, bacon, toast, juice, and potato pancakes, all decent buffet quality. Very happy. Nailed this one no problem just like every other time I used this site, thanks again BetterBidding.
  3. Amenities: Restaurant Pool Fitness Very Happy... VDARA in city center for only $79 Thanks Better Bidding. Tried using the link but ads are blocked by my sysadmin at work so I was screwed... sorry I usually feed the click link gods.
  4. We need the amenities HOTWIRE shows to help identify. You may want to check out the Hotwire hotels list for your area and try to match that up to the amenities that you see. If Hotwire shows you a tripadvisor rating (which they sometimes do) that is a near sure fire way to verify the property you are looking at. Its not that hard to identify hotels using those techniques, it is a little work, but it is worth it for the huge discounts that you can get.
  5. Update on how the stay went Booked through HOTWIRE. My mom checked in and really loved this place. They were very easy to deal with over the phone so that I could take care of the resort fee and parking in advance, as this weekend stay was a gift for her. This is just a hunch, but I think that because we put a business card on the account to take care of any incidentals ahead of time, and paid a little extra to have a bottle of wine and plate of their gourmet cheeses in the room upon arrival, they assumed that my mom, despite booking through hotwire, "could" be some kind of potential business client or important guest. Check-in was a breeze, and I don't think there was any mention of Hotwire, I asked her how checkin went, and she said it took seconds and that when she gave them her name they pulled her up in the computer and said, "everything is already paid for and arranged, Mrs. XXXXX" and then they gave her the room key. She said she was very impressed with the service and with employees addressing her by name at times throughout the stay, which I think was impressive for a hotel of this size. They put her in a nice veiw room in St Augustine on an upper floor (at no charge). She was going to go to Disney, but liked the hotel so much, and felt that there was so much to do there, she ended up just staying around the property. She said she wanted to see everything at the hotel, and ended up just going to Dowtown Disney in the evening on one night. This is a gem for Hotwire because it is SOOOO easy to identify and is offered at about half price. If you are staying in Orlando, and want a nice place for about $100 a night, this is a no-brainer. You could get it for less on priceline... but for me its worth a few bucks to be sure that you get this property.

  7. First bid of $41 was accepted. I did not expect this hotel to be in the running, and would have started lower had I known it was there. This hotel was listed as a 2.5* but seems to have been moved back up to a three star. Keep this in mind when bidding this area now. Still not a bad deal for about $50 with tax and fees. Hotel has shuttle and is newer so those are plusses. Used the PRICELINE link from this forum to make the bid. Always glad to check this board out first and have learned a ton from you guys here. Room was for mother-in-law with an early flight, and I heard no complaints about the room so I guess all was good.
  8. Smoke free was also listed... Sorry I must have missed that before.
  9. Easy to identify, Heard great things.... booked for my mom hope she likes it. Listed was 4.5* Resort Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Spa Services Children's Activity Program As always I used the HOTWIRE link off of this website.
  10. Used the PRICELINE link off this website. Started at $55 and increased bids in $3-$4 increments using rebids. So many rebids for 4* in Seattle it is really easy, even for a newbie. I identified this hotel on Hotwire for $94 but because it was not my first choice decided to try priceline, just incase I got lucky and got the Westin. This was my first time ever on Priceline or Hotwire and I used the tips from this board. Happy with my purchase. Heard mixed reviews about the Sheraton, but the location and price is right. Anyone have any info on where I could park on the cheap to avoid the Sheraton's $22-$26 per day parking? Also anyone have any tips on how to get upgraded at this hotel (free or pay). Lastly, how long before they get the information from priceline and I can call them to make requests? Thanks, Alaska Don Reposted to get format correct... will delete the previous post.
