  1. Hello all,

I am trying to find a 4 star hotel on Paris for a 6 night stay close to the sights. Myabe close to eiffel tower or the louvre, etc.

I am wondering which zone I should be bidding on in Paris? I have hear Opera house East is good because it is a smaller area and thus can be closer to the sights I want.

I know when using priceline it is a gamble and nothing is guaranteed but I am wondering which hotels in the 4 star range are poping up in each region the most?

I am just looking for a good deal in general and my price range would be from $80 -140 or so a night depending wha hotel/region I am trying to isolate knowing that anything might pop up in that star class.

    Thanks for the input

    Chris

  2. Congrats!

If you are set on getting the HHV then you have a very good possibility of this if you bid in the WAIKIKI MARINA area under RESORT level and only this level. I know there are no guarantees with PRICELINE but the HHV is the only resort level property that I am aware of in the marina area. I would say to start your bidding at $90 range and go from there. I know someone recently got it for around $100 a night or so. You have a few rebid zones you can use that dont have resort level properties in them so you can up your bid a few dollars at a time. maybe post what your maximum bid is aan the admin can come up with a bidding scheme for you.

You mentioned you want to stay in the waikiki beach area but the HHV is not exactly in that area. But it does have a nice wide beach. In the waikiki beach area the SHERATON and the HYATT seem to be popping up the most in the resort level. The sheraton was going for around $119 a night around that time but not sure if it is still in that range or not.

As far as waiting there really isnt a need to wait as long as your plans are definite. If you win a hotel there are no refunds on PRICELINE so make sure your 100% going for those dates. If you have a maximum bid you want to try and keep it under then stay with that plan and use the same scheme everyday until you get it. What is your maximum bid?

Finally, HOTWIRE might be a good option as HHV shows up on there from time to time. So take a look on it for your dates and try and identify it and see if that rate is low enough to your liking. You can identify it using the the hotwire identification for hawaii on this site. Just match up the amenities on HOTWIRE to the ones already identified by this site

Hope this helps...enjoy your honeymoon and happy bidding!

    4 Stars

Resort, Beachfront, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, golf nearby, tennis nearby, spa, childrens activity

    Thanks in advance

probably the hilton hawaiian villlage i would say...what was the quote price for it? also check what the trip advisor rating is and you can find it easily.

  4. Is this the Royal Lahaina? Listed for 115US per night May 16-23. Cheapest internet rates are 149 that I have seen. Seems like a great deal? We are going to a wedding at that hotel....would be nice to know if this is it.

I looked it up on hotwire and yes this would be a match for the Royal Lahaina on Maui. Pretty good deal too. I bet you could get it on priceline for even cheap maybe $10 or 15 cheap a day, but not a big deal really. Let us know what happens with it.

  5. Hi:

Hotwire recently posted a 4* Hotel in Central Waikiki for $153 for a one night stay from May 4-5. Need help identifying. I'm usually a 4.5* - 5* guy, so any suggestions on other hotel areas in Waikiki that would fit, would be appreciated.

    Amentities:

    Near Beach

    Smoke Free Rooms

    Fitness Center

    Pool

    Business Center

    Laundry Facilities

    High-speed Internet Access

    Golf Nearby

    Tennis Nearby

This looks like a match for waikiki parc from what I see on the hotwire list the site has. Matches up exactly.

  6. I do a lot of looking around in hawaii and know quite a bit..I would say this is the best match for Hilton hawaiian village, but not 100% sure. Hilton is the only RESORT that ever shows up on priceline anyways in marina area as the Prince is listed as a 4 star. I know this is hotwire but they rate hotels similarily. Let us know what happens with it if you choose to try it.
