  1. I went with Travelocity top secret hotel. Apr 7 to 14. $58 per night. 3 star - Top Secret Hotel in PlacentiaTraveler Rating Orange County: Anaheim , Placentia, CA Pool, free breakfast, non smoking, computer. It is the Holiday Inn Express Placentia,
  2. I know with HOTWIRE, you are able to enter the number of adults and kids but do they actually guarantee you double queens? I called Crowne Plaza about the exact issue and they specifically said that is the risk you take when you go thru PRICELINE vs going to them directly and paying more.
  3. OK, I have done that. 1 Restaurants In or Nearby the Hotel The 2.5* at $64 for Fullerton - Brea Hotel. It is likely HI Express Placentia. Their website does show "1 Restaurants In or Nearby the Hotel" which matches the in-hotel restaurant amenity per HOTWIRE but I called the hotel and they actually don't have an in-hotel restaurant. Fullerton - Brea would be closer to Anaheim than Yorba Linda.
  4. 2 rooms (2 adults and 3 kids) for April 7 to April 14/10 in Anaheim and surrounding areas. Free breakfast is fairly important. Free parking would be nice too. Hotwire shows Costa Mesa - Orange County Airport - Irvine Star rating: 2.5* at $66 per night. List here shows possibly 2.5* La Quinta Costa Mesa but amenites and TA reviews don't match. Recommended in 95% of customer reviewers 10+ total reviews Overall satisfaction 4.5 There is a 2.5* at $48 for Anaheim - Disneyland South Hotel but I am afraid it's the Ramada at the convention center (terrible TA reviews). There is a 2.5* at $67 for Yorba Linda - Anaheim Hills Hotel. List here only shows a 2* Extended Stay America. Amenities match Ayres Yorba Linda which has good TA reviews. There is a 2.5* at $64 for Fullerton - Brea Hotel. List here shows possible HI Express Placentia which has so so TA reviews. Is it too early to get a good deal on Hotwire or Priceline? TIA
  5. Could it not be Embassy Suites Brea like in the previous thread.
  6. Still no luck, I have gone as high as $80 for the 4* Marriot Cree Resort and $85 3 star downtown without success. :)
  7. On Marriot's web site, I can a room (in advance, non-refundable) for $129 Cdn vs PRICELINE's prices in U.S. plus their service fees. I think for Coast Edmonton House, I can probably get a room for $89 per night.
  8. Using the PRICELINE link on this website, I have had no luck booking a hotel. 4* Marriot Cree Resort - I have gone as high as $72 with no luck. Others have said they have it from $51 to $70. 3* Downtown - likely Coast Edmonton House. I have gone as high as $57 with no luck. Others have said they have it for less than $55. The hotels must be busy on those days. :)
  9. I think they wanted a 1 day rental as a cancellation fee so that would be ~$32. I still wasn't happy but that's better than paying ~$350 for a car I have no use for. They gave me the option of upgrading to a minivan for extra ~$15 per day but I can do much better on my own than paying ~$47 per day for a minivan.
  10. The price was so high it is not worth sharing. $32/day for economy car. I wanted minivan. You can do a lot better than $32/day for an economy rental.
  11. First time user here. Incorrectly putting in the car type or bid amount must happen every once in a while. Will Priceline cancel bid without a penalty? What is the typical penalty for a hotel or car reservation? TIA!
