I was wondering if Hotwire and Priceline used the same hotels. If they did you could use Hotwire to get a rough idea of what an acceptable bid would be for a certain hotel class in a specific city? For instance if hotwire offers a 3 star hotel in the medical center area of Houston for $84 a nite, then would it make sense to go to priceline to make a starting bid of about $70 for a 3 star hotel in the same area and dates?
Thank you for your reply. I dont know if you saw that I mentioned that this hotel was supposed to be in the medical center area, the hotel you mentioned is about 18 miles away from the medical center area. Do you think it could be another hotel closer to the medical center?
