  1. I have not used priceline for portland before so I though i'd get some advice! I am planning to go to Portland October 8-11, 2011 and would like to stay downtown in a 4 star. What would you start your bids at? Are there rebid zones in Portland? I would love to get the nines... Thanks!
  2. I started bidding at $60, then had to increase to $65, $68, $70 and finally won the Edgewater Hotel at $75. I hope I get a good room there again, I have stayed there once before on a priceline win and got a waterfront room, despite reading reviews of priceline guests getting noisy, street view rooms.
  3. I started at $60 and was rejected. I rebid at $65, and again at $68, $70, $73, $75 and was finally successful at $78! Total with taxes came to $97.07. My max bid was going to be $80 so I'm happy with how it played out. I haven't used priceline in awhile but I feel like a new screen came up after I initially put in my first bid of $60 in. The screen told me how low of a bid I'd put in and that the average successful bid for my chosen area is something like $xxx and do I want to readjust my bid because I can't rebid for 24 hours...is this new???
  4. I started bidding at $60 and won with a bid of $78. I got the Sheraton and am happy! Thanks for the strategy, it was a big help:)
  5. Hello, I'm looking for some help with what $$ amount I should start bidding at for 1 night, Nov 21, 2009 in a 4* Seattle Downtown-Pike Place?? I haven't seen any posted wins for that weekend yet... Please help:) Thanks
  6. I just wanted to add that we had a good experience at the Edgewater, despite reading lots of bad reviews that mentioned priceline customers getting noisy, parking lot view rooms and being offered cash upgrades for waterfront rooms. I was given a waterfront room without any mention of upgrading, perhaps I was just lucky but I thought we got a great deal for $70! :)
  7. Hi, I bid $70 and got the Edgewater, 1 night Apr 9, 2009. It wasn't my first choice but it's a deal!
  8. Hi I am new to PRICELINE and am wondering what a good bidding strategy would be for the following: Seattle - Downtown, 4 Star, Apr 9, 2009, 1 night. I would like to keep under $100 (all in) and I was thinking of starting at $75, what do you think?? Thanks:)
