  1. Stayed at the Best Western for 1 night Oct. 26th. I booked 2 rooms because my daughter and her family was traveling with me. The fare was $117.00 per room plus tax, etc. for a grand total of $278.40. I think this hotel is a bit above a 2.5 star. The room was clean & comfortable with a refrigerator, coffee maker, iron. It has a continental bkfst which includes a serve yourself waffle maker, pastries, toast, coffee, juices, hot sausage, etc. Just a short ride into town.
  2. Just there for the 1 night. The fare came to approx. $62.00 after tax, etc. for the night. Sorry but forgot to click on HOTWIRE from this site. Truly is a downtown hotel. Within the heart of main st. shopping area. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Continental bkfst. I will stay there again in the near future. I noticed on the PRICELINE site they are quoting $91.00(?) or thereabouts. Amenities See description Indoor pool(s) Smoke Free Rooms Pool(s) High-Speed Internet Access Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Handicapped parking
  3. Just returned from my 1 night stay at the LeNouvel Hotel. I like the hotel. As opposed to some of the reviews I have seen of this hotel, I found my room and the hotel in general to be clean and comfortable. Drawbacks: Manager stated I would not be getting a free breakfast, continental or otherwise, because of the low Priceline price that I paid. I did have the free internet, though as stated by other reviewers, there wifi in the room is very very slow to non-existent at times. Parking: $15.00 per night.
  4. Just got the 3 star Le Nouvel Hotel for $73 for 1 night (May 4, 2010). Tried to get a 4 star and then a 3.5 star for 75 but no luck until I dropped to 3 star. Yes I did use the PRICELINE link from BetterBidding.com Thanks for all your information.
  5. April 2nd. Bid $46.00 (first bid) I believe I may have been able to get it for less. In my honest opinion this hotel was very accommodating, clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to return. Downside: Narrow hall ways but that is minor. The location is excellent, just a half a block off of St. Catherine's St. I did click on PRICELINE link from Betterbidding.com
  6. Just returned from my 2 nights at this hotel. No complaints about this hotel. Tipped the front desk clerk on check-in and received a top floor room and free parking. Overall a clean, comfortable and friendly hotel. I would be very happy to stay there again.
  7. Just booked the 3 star rated Maritime for March 4th and 5th on Priceline for $60 per night. Probably should have done it differently? It looks like another poster just got the 4 star rated Hyatt for $60.00. Anyway, still a pretty good deal because the Maritime web site is stating least expensive rate as $89 per night. Yes, I clicked on PRICELINE from BetterBidding.com site. :) Maritime Plaza Hotel Montreal 1155 Guy Street Montreal, Quebec H3H 2K5
  8. Just returned from Montreal where I stayed at the Delta Hotel on President Kennedy. Hotel is excellent, no complaints. While checking in, tipped the front desk and was given a nice room with free wi-fi. Also had the breakfast buffet at the hotel Sat. a.m. which was also excellent. Very glad to have stayed at this hotel.
  9. The amenities are as I posted above. Unless I missed something or am not reading it correctly. I booked with the request for a child added ...only because I wanted to be more sure of having 2 beds in the room.
  10. Also requested to reserve the room for 2 adults and 1 child to insure 2 beds would be booked. Hope it works out that way. Also have read the Tripadvisor.com forum for this hotel. Some people have complained about getting less than good service or bottom of the barrell room due to booking at the low Hotwire hotel rate. I am thinking about trying the $20 trick, as suggested in the Las Vegas Tripadvisor forum and also suggested at the FrontDeskTip site. Hopefully the tip may help to get a little better room or service?? Amenities as follows; Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Spa Services
  11. Just booked the 3.5 star Delta Hotel at 475 President Kennedy Ave. Montreal for $66 per night + tax recovery charges and fees. Total = $161.67. 2 nights~ Feb. 5th - 7th, 2010. Yes, booked HOTWIRE from the link here at BetterBidding. Thank you.
  12. Thereuare, Thanks for your quick reply. It looks like HOTWIRE is the way to go for my situation. I will go with your advice and ask for a room for 2 adults and child. I mentioned Days Inn because when I stayed there a couple of weeks ago it was a reasonable price, even with paying the full regular price. Just thought that maybe it could be available for half that price at Priceline or Hotwire...which I would consider a very good deal. When I make my bid I will definitely use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links here at betterbidding.com. Thank you
  13. 1. Would like to bid on a hotel in downtown Montreal. For 2 of us..but definitely require 2 beds. I've seen a suggestion here in the forum that we could possibly request a room for 2 adults and a child. Wonder if that would gurantee 2 beds? 2. A few weeks ago I stayed in the Days Inn Montreal downtown Centre-ville. The price was about $240.00 for 2 nights with the $18.00 per night parking fee. I thought this particular hotel, while not 4 star served my needs well. Would like to know if this Days Inn participates in Hotwire or Priceline booking? Thank you.
  14. Hi Thereuare, Thanks for the links. As it turns out I will be going May 10th for 4 nights. When I was at the MGM in Feb. they comped me 3 of my nights on the day I checked out of the hotel. So yesterday afternoon I called the MGM vip services and asked about getting any of the nights comped in advance and they agreed to comp 3 of the nights and gave a $49 rate for the 4th night. mm hmm I then cancelled my reservations at the Excalibur. Also, was advised they started a new hotel offer yesterday. $29.99 per day for 3 buffets daily. Thanks again. Rich
  15. Thanks for the heads up Hammer. Yes, I booked my flight out of Hartford non-stop for both ways for a total of 319.20. Just checked the Southwest web site they aren't beating that price for the non-stops 'yet'. I will keep checking though. Thanks again. Rich
  16. Diamond, Thanks for your reply. The link you suggested is a great deal and I do enjoy the MGM. A few days ago I came into some money (nice win at Mohegan & Foxwoods :) ) so I booked a room at the Excalibur for 2nd week of May. In my opinion the MGM is nicer but since I am going alone I thought the price at the Excalibur is too good to pass on. I would still change to MGM if anyone thought it could be had for less than the $50/ night via HOTWIRE or PRICELINE. Thanks again. Rich
  17. I recently enjoyed a stay at the MGM Grand (end of Feb.). Had booked a room Mon.-Fri. at $49/night +tax Would like to go again during first week of August ...again Mon.-Fri.. Prices for August are still posted for approx. $50/ night. Is there really any chance of getting an even better, name your own, price via PRICELINE or HOTWIRE? Anyone done better? Thank you.
