  1. Wanted to stay in the city two nights, but bid up to $101 for a 4* downtown 12/7-12/9 with no luck. Decided to break it up and purchased a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $111 for 12/8 downtown and bid on an airport hotel for 12/7. Started at $61, rebid at $66, won at $71.
  2. 4/11 - 4/14 $197/nt Amenities: -Pet Friendly (??? this doesn't match anything I've seen!) -Smoke-free rooms -Fitness Center -Pool -Restaurant -Business Center -High-speed internet -Accessible (blind, deaf, path of travel) -In-room accessibility -Accessible BR -Roll-in Shower Any help would be greatly appreciated! There's a music festival in town and I'm having a heck-of-a-time finding somewhere affordable (Bid up to $151 on Priceline - way more than my usual - with no luck!)
  3. Needed a place to stay before flying out the next morning. Won on the first bid. I was really surprised! Used the PRICELINE link :)
  4. Used the PRICELINE link :) Started with $41, was offered an immediate re-try of $49. Declined, added a re-bid zone and won with $45.
  5. We love staying at the Read House and I was really disappointed when I saw it had been downgraded from a 3 1/2* to a 3*, because I figured it would be more difficult to bid on it in a targeted way. I initially bid for Thurs/Fri nigh and won with $56! I extended for Sat night as well. We love staying here because they generally give us a free suite upgrade for being Gold status (even though they're not supposed to with Priceline bookings)!
  6. Very nice! I'm looking for 6/28-7/1 and haven't been successful in bidding up to $71 on a 3* in Cambridge. You picked a good night to need a hotel :)
  7. I was looking for something on a weekend when I knew everything was booked due to commencement ceremonies. 2.5* stars on the Cambridge side of the river were going for over $400 according to the priceline list, and friends were all telling stores of having to fork it over for that weekend. I selected almost all acceptable zones (keeping fenway as an easy rebid), including Brighton-Brookline, Cambridge, Copley-Theatre, and Quincy-Faneuil-Financial. I didn't want to go much over 100 without exploring other options. I bid 101 for a 4* - rejected -- not a surprise given the weekend, but I have been lucky enough to win at this level/price in Boston before! I bid 101 for a 3.5* - rejected I bid 101 for a 3* - rejected I bid 102 for a 2.5* - accepted. Won the Holiday Inn Brookline. 2.5 miles from where I want to be, easy subway access. It will meet my needs. I am very happy to be paying hundreds less than my friends!
  8. Tried $72 -- rejected. Bumped up to $81 after looking at Hotwire (similar hotel listed for $89). -- Accepted.
  9. Looking for a hotel near a hiking adventure for the weekend. Unsucessful in getting a deal in the Whites, so I tried for the Adirondacks... Started with a bid of 72 for a 3.5* - rejected. Tried again at $55 for a 3* and surprisingly won the Courtyard By Marriott Lake Placid.
  10. We started at $71 for a 4* and went up by $5 increments. It was a great stay -- and our room was fabulous. 26th floor, nice view of the city.
  11. My first attempt was $46 and I was rejected. PRICELINE counter-offered $59, but I didn't take it. My partner tried and came back with $51 -- accepted! We've stayed here before and although it feels more like a 3* than a 3.5*, it's still a good deal!
