  1. First bid, went $70 because I'd seen some weeekday nights in the same range for $65.

I used the PRICELINE link in the upper right corner to get my room for 67% off of priceline's $209 retail price.

I couldn't be happier, great hotel, great price, especially for downtown philly, which can be insane for rates.

I love reading the things people complain about in hotel reviews... on priceline this place gets an 8.7 of 10, which for normal humans is a 10 out of 10... seriously... I think some people expect to be chauffeured around in gilded chariots by angels, get parking for a fraction of what other downtown hotels charge, and expect hotel staff to buff their butt cheeks with fresh towels made of a combination of rainbows and sunshine.

    Thanks again Better Bidding!

It amazes me that only a fraction of travelers use PRICELINE and HOTWIRE. And it amazes me more that only a fraction of those use this site... I hope it stays that way---better deals for the rest of us!

  2. Booked via the better bidding HOTWIRE link.

    3* cinncinati/airport/florence

Hyatt Place- cincy/airport florence. amenities breakfast, pool, business center, fitness, shuttle, airport, etc.

I originally searched 11/6-11/9, and the same hotel woulda been 55/night, but i decided to split after the steelers/bengals monday night game. also listed as recommended in 100% of hotwire reviews.

any recommendations for something to do with my saturday night in cincy?

  3. Started at $50, no luck. Gave me the chance to go straight to 64--- Passed, added Downtown East (the end around in toronto, no 4* in downtown east) bumped to $57. Still nothing. Gave me another chance, without changing area/level-- for $7 more... went 64 and got the marriot bloor-yorkville.

Not the best I've done in toronto, by far--- but the rooms on marriot's site go for 139/cad (about 117 us) plus taxes and fees --total would have been 628 cad-- almost double the 300 us I paid through PRICELINE, using the forum link-- of course

so 2 rooms, toronto downtown west-- $64 was the winning bid for the Marriot on Bloor--- 2 nights, 2 rooms, 300.60 USD total.
