  1. It's not Westgate Lakes. Westgate Lakes is only a 3*. Oops! Look like I spoke too soon! I don't know why it would have been upgraded to 4*. The TripAdvisor ratings aren't convincing. I personally wouldn't book it.
  2. Ok, your best bet is to get into the LBV - Downtown Disney area. I have found that a lot of those properties are actually on Disney. There are some, though, like Bonnet Creek, which is supposed to be awesome, that are more secluded and you cannot walk to the Disney shuttle stops. But they do have their own shuttles, which you could just take to the transportation center on Disney, I would presume. I'm sure there are tons of options. If you pick a SeaWorld area hotel, the shuttles will be few and far between. Like, 2 to Disney in the morning and 2 from in the evening. And you have to go at their times. Or you could rent a car, and pay $10 or $15 for parking. Main Gate - Celebration area is very touristy, and those hotels are very cheap, mainly because they are rundown, dated hotels. Oh, another option for you is to look for packages at time shares, sometimes they offer really cheap Disney tickets if you listen to their presentation. Some are very high pressure, I have met people who say it was nearly an all day event, and some people said they were done in a couple hours. If it's something you'd be willing to do, look into it, but do your research. It is a vacation, I'm sure you wouldn't want to waste a day like that. Also, check craigslist in the orlando area. Some people rent out their homes for ridiculously cheap. And you can also find hotel/condo specials there. Have a good time and good luck!
  3. Just fyi, Vista Cay does not have 1 bedroom units. Only 2 or 3. So it's not Vista Cay.
  4. That's a match for the Rosen Shingle Creek. I stayed there once. It's very nice and very luxurious. Keep in mind that they charge for parking, per day. And I remember their breakfast buffet being around $15-18 per person. They charge for internet. It was great for us for just one night, which was New Years Eve, I don't know how it would be for a vacation. But it is an awesome hotel, it's beautiful.
  5. Hi, guys! You have helped me so much already in the past couple of weeks and now I have a question that I can't find. My question is this. Do the Hotwire prices go down as your dates of travel get closer? If I wait til later to book, could I get a better deal? I am looking at a 3.5* in the Universal area. Amenities are: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access $77/nt (that's today's price, yesterday was $80) TripAdvisor Rating is 4.5/5 with 400+ reviews. I have already pinned it as the Crowne Plaza at Universal, which would be wonderful. My husband is military, so I can't really book anything until he knows for sure he's ok to go. So I have to wait to book. But obviously, I can't wait too long! If I do book it, and he is unable to go, can I sell the reservation to someone else and just let the hotel know that someone else will be there? Thanks in advance! ps - if I do book, I will definitely use your HOTWIRE link...
