  1. Thanks. Where do I find the TripAdvisor ratings in HOTWIRE?
  2. Hotwire is showing a 4* Downtown hotel for $59/night. Boutique, Pool, Bus Center, WiFi This sounds better than the last Priceline entry ($90) for that weekend. I have a cancelable res at the St. James for $105/night but I think I can do better. Any ideas on which hotel this is?
  3. This is the hotel I wanted. It was easier since it's the only 4* in Marietta and there are so many free rebid areas for 4*s in Atlanta. Started at $60 and used 4 free rebids with $5 increases. Website low price is $149, so I'm very happy with this win. Used PRICELINE link above to book this room.
  4. This was a nice place for the price. Furniture is basic "roadside hotel", but it was clean, very spacious, full kitchen, and a good hot breakfast as a pleasant surprise. I always use the PRICELINE link above.
  5. Started at $38 for 3* in Homewood, then added Hoover at $40, then free rebid Pelham at $42, and finally free rebid Irondale at $46. This will be the first time at this hotel but it's in a good area and less thanhalf the best website price.
  6. This is the hotel I wanted, based on location and reputation. I tried several times for Friday (10-2) through Tues (10-6) for 4* in the Historic District. Unfortunately, there was no success up through $125. I was using all rebids each time and was concerned that over that price, I might get the resort across the river. I took out the weekend and got it for $80 on the first bid. I tried bidding Fri & Sat together and separately without any luck. Then booked Fri & Sat at regular price of $189- ouch. Oh well, I got what I wanted, won't have to move midtrip, and saved $220 with PRICELINE. Bid through the above PRICELINE link, of course.
  7. Started at $45. Used free rebid zones Pelham ($50) and Irondale ($55). $55.00 $15.59 tax/fees $70.59 TOTAL I wanted to be in Homewood because it's closer to my meeting and I don't have to fight the Interstate. I placed bids through the BetterBidding PRICELINE link, of course.
  8. Booked 3 rooms for $50 each plus $10.50 tax/fees. Started at $35 and worked up with rebids. Booked through BB PRICELINE link of course.
  9. My last stay was: 3* Hyatt Place Hoover $55/night on 1/30/09- 2/1/09. Before that was $75/night on 7/11/08-7/13/08, but there was a youth baseball tournament at the stadium nearby at the time. Both this and the Courtyard are very convenient to the Galleria, nice area, and only a couple blocks from the I-459 exit. I prefer the Hyatt because the rooms are larger, large flat screen TV, and breakfast included. However, I had no complaints at all with the Courtyard.
  10. This is a new one for me. Started at $40 and got it at $45. I've gotten the (very nice) Hyatt Place several times in the $50-60 range. With taxes totaled at $58.96. I placed the bid through the BetterBidding PRICELINE link above.
  11. I started my bid with $45 for a 3 star and was accepted on the first bid. Obviously, should have started lower but saw a recent win here at $42 and didn't want to make several attempts to get it. Used the PRICELINE link. Thanks so much for a friendly community which is so much more "civil" than the "other guys". I'm a recent convert.
