  1. OK. So just making sure ... Don't book through the link you have in your initial reply. Go back through the BetterBidding site, right? If so, this link appears to be Priceline, with which I'm not as familiar. Second question - Does the Travel Insurance cover me for any cancellation purpose - not just the standard i.e. family emergency, etc. that applies to most airlines? Reason being, this trip may be delayed or cancelled. Thanks again for your help.
  2. I'd really like to get the W, if possible for that rate. I don't recall seeing that one, but let me see if I can replicate with those amenities.

  4. Man, I really appreciate the time/effort/energy you have put forth here. I somewhat regretfully have to inform you that my assistant was able to get me in the conference block at the host hotel (Sheraton) given a cancellation by another attendee. This is obviously not my preferred hotel, but for the sake of convenience and simplicity, it's the best option. Thanks again for your help. I have an upcoming stay in Sacramento for which I could use some assistance; understanding that you don't live there! -LV
  5. Thanks. I travel there fairly often and have stayed at The Ivy, which I liked quite a bit. Was hoping that was a match. I've stayed at a few other Palomar hotels, but not Chicago. My event is at the Sheraton, but they are full. Is this in close proximity?
  6. Can you please help me ID the4.5* hotel with the following amenities (per Bidding Helper): - Boutique Hotel - Smoke-Free Rooms - Fitness Center - Restaurant(s) - Business Center - Internet Access Thanks in advance for your assistance.
  7. Thanks again. You were in fact correct. I went ahead and booked and the 4* is Hyatt Regency Newport Beach and it was booked for the price indicated in my original post.
  8. Thanks for the quick response. Do you have a good level of confidence in your guess on the 4* being Hyatt? I'm willing to pay a bit of a premium for a guarantee, but would definitely prefer to give you all credit and save the money.
  9. I am traveling to Orange County, more specifically Newport Beach, from 4/26 - 4/28 and am getting the following results for 4* and 5* hotels available for these dates: 4* Newport Beach area Hotel ($138/night) - Pet Friendly - Fitness Center - Restaurant(s) - Internet Access - Tennis Nearby - In-Room Accessibility - Accessible Parking - Airport Shuttle - Pool(s) - Business Center - Golf Nearby - Spa Services - Accessible Bathroom - Roll-In Shower 5* Newport Beach area Hotel ($165/night) - Pet Friendly - Fitness Center - Restaurant(s) - Internet Access - Spa Services - Accessible Bathroom - Smoke-Free Rooms - Pool(s) - Business Center - Golf Nearby - In-Room Accessibility - Accessible Parking Any help you can offer me here is greatly appreciated. I'm shooting for the Hyatt Regency Newport for the 4*, but am a bit nervous it may be The Fairmont. I've stayed at The Fairmont and it wasn't bad, but would much rather stay at Hyatt Regency. Thinking the 5* may be The Island Hotel, but uncertain. Thanks, all.
  10. Went ahead and booked and received Grand Hyatt. I researched the other one, assumed to be Hotel Oxford, but I'm traveling with a colleague and it seemed more like a place for couples. Thanks for the help with this one.

  15. Thanks for your efforts. I wound up booking the Hotel ZaZa direct as I receive a corporate discount with The Preferred Group brands.
  16. You're absolutely right. Though the amounts change slightly, the amenities seem to line up. I've stayed at the Royal Sonesta previously and wasn't very impressed, but I will look into the Crowne Plaza and post my decision here. Thanks again for the quick response.

  18. Thank you for your effort, here. Given the uncertainty and wide array of options (some I like and some I don't), I decided to book the Waldorf Astoria through another site. I always try to book using this site and in less concentrated areas it's a bit easier to pull back the curtain, but since I'm traveling with 2 other colleagues, I didn't want to run the risk here. On to the next trip ... Thanks!
  19. Confirmed. 3 people and 3 separate rooms. Also followed up on my Tyson's thread.
  20. Sorry - thought I had updated this post a while back. my boss just booked a room at the Crowne Plaza through Hotels.com my apologies for the delay in closing the loop.
  21. I am looking to book 3 rooms for 3 adults in NYC. Check-in date is 4/14 and check-out is 4/16. When filtering the Times Square - Theatre District and 4* and up hotels, I'm presented with the following three choices: 4* Midtown East - $148/night Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center HS Internet Access Accessible for the Blind Accessible for the Deaf Accessible Path of Travel In-Room Accessibility Accessible Bathroom Roll-In Shower 4.5* Midtown East - $276/night Free Internet Fitness Center Business Center Laundry Facilities (Self-Service) HS Intenet Access Accessible for the Blind Accessible for the Deaf Accessible Path of Travel In-Room Accessibility Wheelchair Accessible Accessible Bathroom 4.5* Times Square / Theatre - $261/night Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center HS Internet Access Accessible for the Blind Accessible for the Deaf Accessible Path of Travel In-Room Accessibility Accessible Bathroom Handicapped Parking Roll-In Shower Thanks in advance for the help.
  22. No problem. I'm told it's fka Intercontinental, but the flag changed in July of last year.
  23. I am looking to book 2 rooms in Houston near the Galleria. I was offered a rate of $111.00/night for a 4* hotel that has the following amenities: - Fitness Center - Pool(s) - Restaurant(s) - Business Center - High-Speed Internet Access - Accessible for the blind - Accessible for the deaf - Accessible path of travel - In-room accessibility - Accessible bathroom - Handicapped parking - Roll-in shower In looking at the list, this appears to mesh with Sheraton Suites. However, I am uncertain because of two things: a) one of the key amenities in the list would be Suite and b) when I checked the actual Sheraton website, they had no availability for the same dates. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!
  24. Sorry for not posting the end result. My conference was being held at a hotel in downtown Chicago that was unavailable on HOTWIRE, so I booked direct through the conference organizer.
