  1. Well, couldn't wait any longer. Had to go ahead and book. Tried a few bids on PRICELINE that were all rejected, so I went ahead and booked the 2.5 through HOTWIRE at $99xnight and applied the $30 off Hotwire Coupon from here. The hotel turned out to be Wingate by Wyndham, which I'm good with. Thanks!
  2. Hotwire has 3 options right now... 3 star at $101 2.5 at $99 3 star at $93 Any ideas?
  3. Trying to avoid the Grand Palms Resort, so i know I probably won't do the express. I wouldn't mind Wingate at all, but I guess what I got nervous about was "Stadium Hotel" being listed as a 2.5 and didn't really want that one either (of course I understand it's a gamble and there are no guarantees). Will probably try bidding, and if I can't get anything under $90 , will probably then go with one of these.
  4. Aaron, Oh I know how it works. I just know it helps sometimes that you can narrow it down. Just was surprised to see only 3 hotels listed on this list verses the numbers that seems to be listed on their site. Sorry, shouldn't have said tentative. The dates are locked in now. 12/7-12/11
  5. Well, I also saw Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Fairfield Inn & Suites, & Wingate. Plus, on Priceline Name Your Price, they show 2.5 & 2 star hotels. Tentative dates of travel will be 12/7 - 12/11. As far as budget, just trying to keep it as low as possible in the 2.5/3 star range. Express Deal is for $95/night for a 3-Star. Would like to keep it under $95 a night then if I did name your own price. Also, really wouldn't mind any of the hotels I listed except I'm not sure about the Grand Palms Resort...
  6. On the zone and hotel list, there are 3 3-star hotels listed for Pembroke Pines - Miramar. However, when I go to Priceline and look, it seems like there are a bunch more than just the 3 listed here. Been thinking about bidding but makes it harder. Have these lists been updated?
  7. Bid early yesterday, but quit before I got "too high" on my price... Today, Started bid at $70 & was rejected. Added Arlington zone (has no 4-stars)and jumped to $80 on the 2nd bid and it got accepted.
  8. Yeah, it was a 3* in Riverwalk North and Alamo Area. $59 a night. (Comp. Breakfast, Pool, Laundry)
  9. So it turns out it was Hampton Inn, which is a 2.5 Star. So I guess my hesitation is, Is it a good thing it is a 3 now, or am I getting the bad end of tthe deal?
  10. Dates are 9/4/2009-9/7/2009, 1 room 2 people. 4 came up with 3 stars or better. Im interested in a 3-star hotel in Riverwalk North and Alamo Area with 3 amenities: Comp breakfast, pool, & laundry at $59 a night and 3-star hotel in Riverwalk South - La Villita Area with 6 ammenities: Fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry internet at $54. Any ideas? THanks
  11. I have a general question. Since you can not get refunds from either (at least that is what I thought), about how far out do you usually decide to make a reservation? Thanks
