  1. Marriott Courtyard Flora is also available for CZK 1280 via marriott's best rate guarantee on multiple dates. I went that route, PL 5* denied up to $65. I got a counteroffer of $77 for 30May which i suspect might be the Corinthia Towers.
  2. Well, Tripadvisor zones have nothing to do with PRICELINE I'm afraid. CP St. James is Westminster 4* on PL Wyndham is in Kensington - Earls Court - Knightsbridge zone, not sure if it participates, as Conrad it did. Sofitel St James - Mayfair 5* Carlton Tower - Kensington - Earls Court - Knightsbridge zone, not sure it participates after Jumeirah acquired it. Would not expect The Lanesborough on PRICELINE, but that would likely be Mayfair zone too.
  3. Thanks! Great deals indeed, especially the Frankfurt one... You might want to add this hotel to the hotel list.
  4. $100 countered with $173. I used lots of free rebids - last unsuccessful bid at 155. 158 did the trick at the Hilton Park Lane. Great savings - their rate is $390 adv purch. But I was really set on the Grosvenor House because of my Marriott status... Well, that's Priceline for you. Hilton looks nice. Used your PRICELINE link.
  5. I was unsuccessful a week ago... And booked something via a website that I later discovered has 8 pages of complaints listed on tripadvisor. I decided to give PRICELINE another try - there is a fair in town and the rates are outrageous. $45 west declined $45 airport declined $50 east declined $50 east+west declined $55 all zones - accepted! At the Movenpick of course. Their advance purchase rate is EUR 356. :) I'll have to eat the cancellation fee of 20 EUR of the other idiots but at least I can feel assured I have a room. Used your PRICELINE link.
  6. Express by Holiday Inn Earl's Court Amenities free breakfast, high speed internet. Superb value, almost brand new hotel.
  7. The Millennium Hilton has usually good advance purchase rates, worth checking out. I would NOT stay at the Holiday Inn, it's a dump and not by the river if that's where you want to be.
  8. Helped a friend to bid, not sure if he used your links. $55 DT declined $56 DT+Brampton declined $57 DT+Don Valley declined $58 DT+Markham accepted at the Marriott Bloor/Yorkville. Marriott.com has lowest rate at $199.
  9. First bid, $66 with tax. Probably would have gotten it for less, but sadly I only saw the $40 win posted here after I already bid.
  10. First bid $70, added Central Seoul $75 and finally got it for $80 with all three zones. $101 with tax. I initially bid for only 1 night, but due to schedule changes, later bid for the 12th of Nov as well - same result.
  11. Started at $120, and that was countered with $153. Used free rebids adding $1 each time before I got it for $138. Total with tax $170.
  12. Hotwire includes tax, so it would have been $3 cheaper.
  13. Bid $45 yesterday - rejected. $46 today was accepted. Very happy with this one - Hyatt.com prepaid is USD 120+tax. Hyatt Regency Montreal 1255 Jeanne Mance Street Montreal, Quebec H5B 1E5 514-285-1450 Montreal Check-In Date: Friday, April 20, 2007 Check-Out Date: Sunday, April 22, 2007 Your Offer Price: $46.00 (US dollars) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $92.00 (US dollars) Taxes & Service Fees: $23.68 (US dollars) Total Charges: $115.68 (US dollars)
  14. No luck with 4* up to $75 - was hoping the Hyatt or Marriott might have been available... Started 3* at $45, added $1 and the two rebids and $47 did the job. Hotel website prepaid is USD 102+tax, so very decent savings. Coast Plaza Suite Hotel 1763 Comox Street Vancouver, British Columbia V6G 1P6 604-688-7711 Vancouver Check-In Date: Wednesday, April 18, 2007 Check-Out Date: Friday, April 20, 2007 Your Offer Price: $47.00 (US dollars) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $94.00 (US dollars) Taxes & Service Fees: $23.12 (US dollars) Total Charges: $117.12 (US dollars)
  15. Have been bidding for a month without luck. 5* Marina bay and Orchard - failed up to $160 4* Marina bay and Orchard - failed up to $100 I was expecting this hotel, didn't really want it, but it was the only reasonably priced choice for my dates it seems. Hotel website at $118+tax. Holiday Inn Atrium Singapore 317 Outram Road Singapore, Singapore 65-67330188 Riverside Check-In Date: Thursday, April 5, 2007 Check-Out Date: Friday, April 6, 2007 Your Offer Price: US$78.00 Extend Your Stay Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: US$78.00 Taxes & Service Fees: US$19.64 Total Charges: US$97.64
  16. Wasn't really expecting this one though I should have since it's been reported here. Hotel website has it at $75, so poor savings. 5* 120 all areas failed 4* 90 all areas failed Started at 65 for this zone, added TST and Central Kowloon and a buck per bid. Cosmo Hotel 375 To 377 Queen Road East Hong Kong, Hong Kong 852 35528388 West Hong Kong Island Check-In Date: Tuesday, April 17, 2007 Check-Out Date: Wednesday, April 18, 2007 Your Offer Price: US$67.00 Extend Your Stay Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: US$67.00 Taxes & Service Fees: US$16.62 Total Charges: US$83.62
  17. Checked rates the other day and - IC $105, Renaissance $105. But checking now, the IC has dropped to $85 - not that big savings but $65 is better than nothing. Started 4 and 5* at HKD 390 (USD50) and added HKD 50 per rebid. HKD 540 (USD 69) did the trick. Congratulations, you got your price of HK$540 for a hotel room in Manila, and we've upgraded your hotel quality level to a 5-star hotel. You selected 4-star as your hotel quality level and we found a 5-star hotel willing to accept your price. Hotel Name: Intercontinental Manila One Ayala Ave Makati City Manila, National Capital Region 1226 Philippines 63-2-8159711 Zone: Makati Your Offer Price: HK$540 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: HK$2160 Taxes: HK$449.92 Processing Fee: HK$75 (per offer) Total Lodging Charges: HK$2684.92
  18. Tried for a 5-star (Harbour Marriott) but that failed up to $160. Took the gamble for a 4-star hoping for the Sydney Marriott Hotel and that's what I got. Started at HKD 950 and added HKD 50 per bid. They include taxes in the bid amount, this corresponds to about USD 120+tax on Priceline.com Hotel Name: Marriott Sydney 36 College Street Sydney, New South Wales 2010 Australia 61-2-93618400 Zone: City Centre Your Offer Price: HK$1100 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: HK$1100 Taxes: HK$0 Processing Fee: HK$75 (per offer) Total Lodging Charges: HK$1175
  19. Looking for some help here... Orchard and Marina Bay both rejected up to $160. Marriott/Conrad/RTP rates are not anything out of the ordinary. Not willing to go for 4*, I can get the Oriental for $159 as "Internet Rate" - anybody know if the "Mandarin Oriental Internet rate" is cancellable? $160 is my limit, would prefer the Marriott SIN/Orchard area but it seems this night is very busy in SIN.
  20. Bid earlier today - my limit was $45 as I figured I'd just spend the evening in town if I can't get anything (late night flight). Started at $40 and got it for 43 after adding Marina del Rey, Hollywood and Santa Monica (higher rates I figured). $199 on Marriott.com, this is the LAX-Century Boulevard property, not the LAX-El Segundo one. Superb room with new Marriott bedding and complimentary internet, much better than the crappy Westin LAX that I had last night.
  21. Started at $55 and after various rebids got it for $60 for one night.
  22. Thanks thereuare, I'll monitor the situation for a while, hoping to get the Sheraton for $60-70 range on either PL or Hotwire. Having PL difficulty in YVR too - something available on Hotwire, but I'll post later as I'm not ready to book that just yet.
  23. Planning ahead for my Canada trip, got rejected on Priceline for 4* up to $80. Hotwire has these that I'm interested in: 2.5 stars $49 2.5-star hotel in Downtown Montreal This hotel features the following amenities: Boutique Hotel Complimentary Breakfast Restaurant(s) 4-star hotel in Downtown Montreal This hotel features the following amenities: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Spa Services The 4-star looks like a match for the Le Centre Sheraton. Could the 2.5* be Residence Inn Old Montreal?
  24. Langham Place Hotel Mongkok 555 Shanghai Street Mongkok Hong Kong, Hong Kong 852 3552 3388 Central Kowloon Check-In Date: Saturday, November 4, 2006 Check-Out Date: Sunday, November 5, 2006 Your Offer Price: US$142.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: US$142.00 Taxes & Service Fees: US$27.74 Total Charges: US$169.74 Very difficult to find anything decent for this last minute bid. WHK 5* rejected up to $220 (JW Marriott rate $383) TST 5* rejected up to $200 (Sheraton rate $280) All areas 4* rejected up to $85 (Not that high rates at Kowloon Hotel, Eaton, Cosmopolitan) All areas 3* rejected up to $60 (Novotel Century Harbourview $69 prepaid rate) I started this bid with $140 and got a counteroffer to add $22. Added the WHK+ TST, $1 each time and got this. Looks like a very nice place, lowest I found was about HKD 1750 with taxes so savings of HKD 500. I strongly suspect many HKG hotels simply don't give last minute PL availability - have had this problem before too. I got a very interesting message on Priceline HK when bidding USD 230 for WHK:
