  1. Used PRICELINE link from this website to do bidding. Check-In Date: Sunday, July 11, 2010 Check-Out Date: Monday, July 12, 2010 Hotel Name: Le Pavillon Hotel 833 Poydras New Orleans, Louisiana 70112 504 581-3111 1st bid - Convention Center - $49 rejected 2nd bid - added rebid zone - $50 rejected 3rd bid - added DT zone - $55 accepted I am just passing through for the day, so I wanted a convenient NICE hotel. After reading Trip Advisor Reviews, I was thrilled to get this property at this price. Your Offer Price: $55.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $55.00 Taxes and Fees: $16.05 Total Charges*: $71.05 I recommend BB to all of my friends - I have saved literally $1000's of dollars using PL and your site has helped immensely in bidding strategies and in giving me confidence in my bids!
  2. This property was formerly listed as a 3* hotel. 3.5/5.0 Trip Advisor Rating Amenties Listed: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Hotel website lists $129 as lowest rate available per night.
  3. Booked this through BB PRICELINE link. Bids of $37 for 3* Winston Salem - rejected Added Winston-Salem West $39 - rejected Added Winston-Salem North $40 - rejected Opened new bidding window and added 2.5* Winston Salem - rejected $37 Added Winston-Salem West rejected $39 Added Winston-Salem North - accepted $42 (and was upgraded to 3*) I was thrilled as the HI website lists a "best rate" of $89 per night. The hotel was very nice with a beautiful lobby. No mention was made of Priceline purchase. Check-in was pleasant and the service was great. It was very easy to secure two beds. The beds each had 4 pillows (2 firm and 2 soft) and the bed was very comfortable, even though it was not a pillowtop mattress. The shower was amazing with curved shower curtain, strong water pressure, and fog-free mirrors. No breakfast included, but coffee was available in the lobby. I'd definitely stay there again!
  4. Bid on 4* Washington, DC (National Harbor) This win was also posted under the tips for DC (sorry for the wrong placement) I think this is a relatively new zone as the area is young and no hotels are listed in this zone for either Priceline or Hotwire. Used BB PRICELINE link to begin bidding (as always). $85 bid accepted on first try. Gaylord National Resort and Spa 201 Waterfront St. National Harbor, Md 20745 301-965-4000 Your offer price : $85 Number of rooms: 1 Number of nights: 8 Subtotal: $680.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $111.43 Total Charges: $ 791.43 I know that a friend also booked this 4* property on Hotwire for $102 per night for 7/5-7/12/09; but do not know if she uses this board. I am thrilled with this win as we are attending an event in National Harbor at this hotel and this price is less than 1/2 of the discounted rate. The Gaylord website lists prices of $279 and $319. While I've read several "poor service" reviews of this property (along with the additional resort fee and parking fee), I am still very happy with my win!!! (service takes a different meaning with a 300++/night room...) I've stayed at the Gaylord Opryland and the atrium is beautiful! Pictures of this property seem to look similar as well. Thanks for the help - the strategies learned on this board have saved me tons!
  5. Used PRICELINE link to make bid, as usual. First bid of $50 (+5 bonus cash) was rejected. Re-bid of $55 (+5 bonus cash) was accepted. Tradewinds - sandpiper 3* St. Pete Beach- Treasure Island 6000 Gulf Boulevard Saint Petersburg, Fl 33706 727-360-5551 Check-In Date: Sun, Jun 21, 2009 Check-In Time: After 04:00 PM Check-Out Date: Fri, Jun 26, 2009 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Bonus Cash per room, per night $5.00 Your Offer Price: $55.00 Total Offer Price, with Bonus $60.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 5 Subtotal: $275.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $48.68 Total Charges: $323.68 The hotel website lists a $25 resort fee and rooms starting at $137 per night Seems to be a pretty good deal.
  6. Used the PRICELINE link on board, as usual. A friend used Hotwire to get this Property for $102 for 7/5-7/12, and Priceline for 7/4 (for $95), so I felt rather comfortable starting bidding a bit lower (especially with 4 free rebid zones.) Was accepted at $85 on the first bid. I'm thrilled, as we really wanted this hotel for an event we are attending in NH. The rack rate is now going for $279, with our event pricing at $172. Even with resort fees and parking, this is a deal! Thanks for all of the great advice embedded on this board. Without it, I would have been afraid to start bidding at this discounted a rate. I've told numerous friends about this board and what is available to save. Using this strategy, I've now saved enough to cover the rest of the vacation! Thanks!!!!
